I too have been experiencing this problem with a 2-week old DInc (just after I switched from AT&T iphone because I was tired of dropping calls). I have talked to several Verizon reps and they are saying that replacing the phone will not correct it but there is a software update that is almost ready for release that does fix it. I'm not sure what to believe. They also said popping out the batter and restarting is a temporary fix. I did this with no success. So are we saying there are folks out there who got a replacement phone and the issue was fixed? Help!
I would love to - but I can't even get a replacement now! How did you do it? They are convinced that it won't help so no matter who I get on the phone and how hard I argue....I get no where. Any advice for me?
awesome - thanks for that advice! Also sounds like BestBuy is more apt to offer a replacement than verizon. Even HTC says to get a replacement yet Verizon swears the update will fix it. What a sham.
I DID however find a Verizon employee who said to simply tell customer service that your screen went blank and you'll get a new phone no problem!
It's unlikely that replacing the phone will fix the problem as others have reported. Your only choice is to wait for the update or get different phone. I've been waiting and I hope the update will be out next month. You have 30 days to return the phone, so I would wait. My 30 days are up, but my account is noted that if the update doesn't fix the problem, I can get a different phone.
