I want to buy an screen protector for the Droid, i usually get invisible shield for everything, but after reading few threads here, there has been couple of members on this forums unhappy with it. So those of you that have an screen protector on your droid, what are you using? r u happy with it?

I have tried Wrapsol, and i ended up taking it off right away and going to return it back for an refund because after putting it on, i saw alot of haziness on the screen and it drove me nutz, i don't know if i should have waited for the next day to see if it goes away but it did not look right.

why waste the money? the screen is scratch resistant glass. and screen protecters always feel cheap and are never as smooth as ...well, glass.

I know that, the reason i want to get it because i have oily hands and i usually end up cleaning the phone with micro fiber towel every time i use it otherwise it get slippery and it gets hard to use the touch.

Previews experience- I have an screen protector on my ipod touch, and rarely clean the screen.

Also, it could help keep your screen in place after an drop i learned that the hard way, i broke the screen on my first Droid after it dropped, and i was thinking if i had something on the screen it could of helped.

currently i am using the invisible shield and its working really well. if you really dont want to buy the invisible shield one, then I would suggest the 3 pack screen protector from Verizon. be careful with these ones however because after 3 weeks they start to come off.

I am still debating about invisible shield, more reviews would be helpful, those of you have this. I think i might just end up getting it because of the 50% off everything they having on Monday.

I got the 3 pack from verizon and am pretty happy with it. Its more of a harder cover then the military stuff from best buy.
I tried the military stuff (forgot brand name) but didn't like the fact you had to put a liquid on then squeegee off.
And it has not come off yet (verizon brand)
It's been about 3 weeks ,so I will let you know if it falls off tomorrow.j/k

I'm using the screen protectors from verizon. You don't have to put goo all over your screen to apply them, so that's why I chose them. They are cut to fit the droid too. As far as looks, I think it looks fine. I'm not very good at applying them, so I have an air bubble, but it really doesn't get in the way. The screen feels the same to me. I would recommend them to anyone who wants their screen protected and doesn't want to mess with putting water near their phone. The application took less than a minute and I could use my phone right away.

I had invisible shield installed at Best Buy. They had to do it over, because after it cured there were hairs under the shield. Been on for about a month now, and I like it alot!
Although, there ARE 2 scratches in it that have happened since. Am I right in assuming that I can have it replaced because of that?

Go with Phantom Skinz...I have used Invisible Shield on a prior phone (Palm Pre) and I did not like them AT ALL...too grabby and lots of orange peel. Phantom Skinz does not have either of these problems. If you put it on right, they are clear and are not "grabby" at all...easy to apply as well. Plus, if you order off their site and use special promo code (can't think of it right now, but look it up), you get two full sets (front/back/sides) for like $18. Highly recommended!

I have the "protectors gone wild" screen protector on my droid. While you have to apply it using a solution, it wasn't that hard. It was usable after a few minutes, and after a couple days, you wouldn't even know it was on, no bubbles or anything.

I feel like the Droid is designed for a screen protector, the glass is set down from the edge, and the screen protector makes it almost flush (it was easy to put on because of this too). I think the surface is a bit more predictable than the bare glass too, which was sometimes too slick or too sticky. The screen protector is more predictable like teflon.

I was playing bonzai blast a lot at the time, which requires considerable accuracy. I felt like the game actually got a bit easier with the protector.

CVS sells premoistened towellettes that I really like. Granted I wear glasses, so I clean both my glasses and the Droid with these, but since they are moistened, they are less apt to scratch a surface. I have had my glasses for two years, and no scratches by using these.

I was reading about them. I've used protective covers with other devices and have never been that thrilled with them. My concerns include interferance with a touch screen device, reducing the clarity and brightness of the screen and the shear hassle of trying to get them properly applied.
How do these stack up?

The Boxwave brand is the best you can get for a static/ hard screen protectors. I have used everything from the Verizon ones to Zagg IS and Boxwave are the only ones that have never waivered in quality.

I had become smitten with Phantom Skinz after using them on my Touch Pro 2 but the ones I got for the Droid are just terrible.
