Treyarch made a special point that they had modified the 'drop-shot' to make it less of an advantage. They stated that when you prone it's more realistic now in that it takes an extra half second or so to get your rifle up to aim which was supposed to level out the playing field a little so that if you were shooting at them you had that extra half second to aim at them as well. I guess this didn't change things, huh?

Well, the official Black Ops controller has buttons on the back that make it easy.

Does not seem so, maybe I suck tho. Dropshotters get me pretty often, I have been playing reach tho.. so maybe I am just used to people jumping rather then falling.

I think they fixed quickscopes, people were complaining about it in one lobby. When you pull scope up the reticule goes super big and your sight sways like if you just held your breath way too long. I am lvl 35 and have only been killed by a sniper rifle like 5 times...

That mouse is a cross between the RAT 5 and my RAT 7, and they seem to be a little misguided in that the sensitivity-damping snipe button is customizable on my RAT 7 using the software installed on the PC. I also don't see the LEDs to let you know your current sensitivity setting as changed from the button behind the scroll wheel. Not to mention the replacement pates for the pinkie and palm and adjustable thumb rest. Also, my RAT 7 has a button next to the left-click button for swapping profiles on the fly.

Agreed, cheesy tactics can ruin the fun. Really the two aspects I'm most happy that they got rid of are Danger Close and Commando, those were just ridiculous.

Impressive. It's funny b/c I am 66/69 stars too. I forget the name of the actual Spec Ops mission that I am missing though.

That was the last board I completed for my 69th star. By far the hardest.

I smoked the rest of them... not timeline, but wasted bad guys!

How about we actually talk about Black Ops on a Black Ops thread rather than MW2 now that it's release?

What are your thoughts on Black Ops? I got it and played it for two about an hour. So far I am disappointed. It seems much slower and more boring than MW2. It seems more like Medal of Honor in some ways. But I will leave my final judgement for the future. I hated MW2 when that first came out and now I don't think there will ever be a game to top it as far as the fun factor and addictiveness.

The last one I did was the juggernaut one in that little Favala-esque village. That one was tricky on the most difficult setting. Those damn things were relentless. Once I learned to hide in that one house with your teammate it was cake.

I don't really remember that one, it's been too long. I have no advice unless you can refresh my memory on which one it was.

Because I don't have it yet and your initial post here is exactly why I decided to wait. I thought MoH looked cool too but am glad I didn't buy it after the reviews came out. My plan is to wait a few weeks on Black Ops to see how much staying power the MP has before I buy. I'll probably be able to get a discount by then too. The campaign of games is fun but I buy games for the MP. Treyarch has let me down in the past so I didn't even buy WaW and was never disappointed that I didn't either. I have a feeling BO may end up the same and if not... it will still be awesome in a few weeks when I can get it for half off retail.

I heard the game has already been glitched/hacked and people are at level 15 prestige. Great job on the game!

I might just rent the game for the campaign.

"Veteran Advice: Start by laser targeting the far left house where enemies first rush you. Once the Stryker takes them out, move to the garage to you right, picking off enemies coming out of the house with the first target in. After they are eliminated, laser target the second house on the left and move in to the house. They key to defending the house while the Intel is downloading is to position the Sentry Guns in the correct places. I put them in the window the first house, the kitchen the second, and you get two in the final house with Intel, set them up both upstairs and downstairs. Rinse and repeat."
