Root TheUltimateDroid 2.0.0 !

this boot thing is freaking me out a bit. I am on 14 minutes and still stuck on the Ultimate Droid boot screen

Yeah, now I am really freaked out.

It wouldn't go through the first loop. I did a battery pull and it won't go into recovery if I hold the X.

Any ideas? Anyone?

I was using the kernal that came with it.

Was finally able to get into recovery and loaded my back up in. No UD 2 for me

If you have a custom theme installed, wipe cache and data three times.

If you still cannot boot after flash, go into recovery and flash a kernel that will work with your phone.

Make sure you have the kernel on your SD from the start.

very strange that Chevy's 1.1 ULV version 2 kernel (with interactive scaling) worked fine for me on BuglessBeast v0.5 but bootloops on UD 2.0.0. his version 3 1.1 ULV works with this ROM, but it does not include interactive scaling. seems like slayher is the only viable route if i want to keep the interactive option, but they run extremely hot on my phone.

wow just wow, I installed over the top of 1, good so far. have 1.0.0 backed up in case 1.0.0>2.0.0 doesnt play nice

it most likely will play nice as i haven't read of someone who has been having issues except if they didn't wipe.

Yep. I had Golden Elegance flashed on 1.0.0 and was not able to get past the UD boot screen (see previous posts in this thread). I wiped and flashed 2.0.0 and was booted and on the activation screen in a matter of minutes.

It is always good practice to keep nandroid backups on hand, but I really don't think you'll have many issues with this ROM. All the posts I've read on other forums are nothing but good.

Enjoy.

Have you tried Chevy's 1.1 LV as compared to the ULV? I use the LV (haven't flashed with this ROM yet) and have never had a problem with it (knock on wood).
