Help messaging FC

almost every time i send or receive a text msg the messaging app displays Activity Messaging is not responding, force close/wait. i thought maybe its the swype keyboard, but switching to android keyboard doesn't help. I've tried killing all tasks and processes to free up RAM to 114mb, nothing helps....any advice??

using the i1 on boost/nextel

something must have happend because my phone is doing the same thing. it has gotten ridiculously slow and my messaging is more than terrible.
i have deleted all messages to try to free up space,
i have shut down the phone multiple times,
uninstalled literally 90% of my apps,
and tryed task killer like 50 times with no help.

i have also noticed that latly my touch screen is having dead spots, i can not press the period button, it either hits the space bar or the smilies and like i cant press N aswell. this is driving me nuts i think i may try a factory reset in a bit.

I found this happening to me every once in a while when I had 1000+ text saved on my phone then I found it happening all the time when I had 2000+ text saved on my phone.

After I deleted the messages (which is another story entirely) the messaging system seemed to work fine no more force closes.
