And FINALLY...... heres my main screen. The rest are pretty much blank except for a few quick contacts. Clean and simple.

Can you DV pros help me out. Here's a pic of one of my screens. I want to know if there is a way to fill in the spaces between the widgets so that the whole screen is filled. Im using Desktop Visualizer of course.

icebergslim:

First, I'll answer your question. No. There is no way of getting Desktop Visualizer icons so close as to make the gaps between widgets disappear. The closest thing you can do is the following:

1. If you're using LauncherPro (and why wouldn't you be?), you need to set the rows to 5 or more and the columns to 6 or more (you can try lower settings, but I haven't found them to work).
2. Another option to change in LauncherPro is the "Auto-Fit Items"- make sure it's unchecked.

Doing this does close the gaps between widgets, but it also makes the widgets overlap in weird ways. This may work for your layout since you have just a gray transparency for the background of your widgets.

Also, doing it this way would require LauncherPro Plus so that you can make other widgets full-sized (ie. any widget that is 4-spaces will be cut-off without resizing the widget).

However, I have to question exactly what it is that you're trying to accomplish? The easiest way to get rid of the gaps is to just have a completely transparent background on each widget image. I don't see how the transparent gray background of each widget will do any good if they're all so close that you can't differentiate the buttons anyway.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I think you make a very good point in that if there is no gap then they lose the effect of being buttons. I'm a complete sucker for transparent widgets. Now if I could only get a working transparent pandora widget my set would be perfect.

What theme are you using for the taskbar? What are you using that gives green stripe that was in another one of your screens that indicates battery life? Your screens always look very solid, we have similar tastes in design I suppose. Given that, could you tell me what you're doing as far as the lockscreen goes? I have yet to find an Evo compatible lockscreen theme that I like. I've been looking for something to go along with the current matte sort of look I've got going on my phone, but any suggestion will do. If you like it, chances are I probably will. And chances are even higher it'll be better than the ugly stock one I'm running right currently! Thanks, and sorry for the wall of text.
