With any luck, I'll get a Fascinate at Best Buy on the black friday sale, just got some questions about the phone before I buy it. I love my Droid, have had it since launch, but with 2.2 its been slowing down and lagging more and more, So just out of the blue I stopped into a verizon store, I have to say, looking over all the phones, I was drawn to the Fascinate, after playing around with the demo model for about 10 minutes I fell in love with it, it was so snappy, and the screen was so crisp. I just want to know how well the camera compares to the Droid camera, I take alot of pictures with my Droid, how do games look on the fascinate, currently addicted to Angry Birds

been reading over alot of reviews on verizon's site, and I'm assuming that this is all bugs in 2.1 but alot of the complaints I see is a texting issue, testing lags, screen freezes, buttons stop working....bla bla bla, has anyone had problems at all, just want to make sure I'm making the right choice, I love my Droid, but $1 black friday sale is almost too good to pass up

Speaking from my experiences I have had no text issues, nor lag or screen freezes. My buttons always work and I have yet to have to reboot or pull a battery due to any issues. I am very satisfied with the Fascinate. Sure some will have some issues. But for me this phone has been nearly flawless. My only complaint is the GPS which is getting a fix soon. After that this phone will be as close to perfect as I could ask for. I would pull the trigger and jump in. You have 30 days if you don’t like it to get something different. And a Fascinate for $1 is hard to beat :)

i guess my biggest concern is that the glass is not gorilla glass like on the Droid, I have never once had to put a screen cover on my Droid, I am for sure buying a case for it, and more than likely a screen protector

EDIT: reading over posts, the Fascinate DOES have gorilla glass, looks like the VZW rep I talked to today was just trying to suck more money out of me

I just got a Fascinate to play to use and play around with and I had lag when I first got it but I rooted it and installed a De-Binged rom and its running smoothly now. My GPS doesn't lock on as fast as my X but when it finally does its fine. Also, I use Wunderradio to listen to Howard Stern and on my X, it would constantly cut out. Now that I'm using the Fascinate, it works much better..not sure why but hardly ever cuts out now. It also seems like I get a little more clear pictures with the X though but not by much. All and all I like the Fascinate more than I thought I would...over course I like it rooted and De-Binged...not stock.

not that its out for the public yet but the DJ05 update fixes gps completely...instant lock

I also moved from the D1 to SF and the camera is 100000000000x's better. I am so much happier with the SF
