dew,

Rom installed great, no issues other than Alltel mms would not send. I recieved sms and mms with no issues. I tried all the the fixes that I could find. I had to switch back to stock flash until I can apply a fix. Any help?

No experience with alltel, sorry =(

only thing i've heard in the past is not using parenthesis when u send MMS, but i thing that bug was fixed with eclair! give it a try - i would guess it's a problem specific to MMS w alltel.

Otherwise, try changing teh user agent in the msging settings

If that doesn't work, you can try saving the mms app from stock and loading into the ROM - i would 90% say one of teh above will fix teh issue. otherwise it's completely specific to alltel.

Dew,
I rooted with no problems once I figured out what the heck I was doing, and then I immediately installed this ROM. Therefore it is the first ROM on my Droid. And that was about two weeks ago, and I haven't changed it yet. I'm running at 1100 MHz with absolutely no problems, few if any FCs and nothing else is going wrong.
The only problem that I am having, is that as of today, when I try to text, the words don't show up on the screen. It has the dictionary at the bottom, and when I send it, it works, but why can't I see what I'm typing??

And as for changes, I think that you have done a perfect job, and there is honestly nothing I can think of to ask for...

Well done sir, well done!

I love this rom. I am just really really bummed that the ULV kernels wont boot up on my first droid (whose screen went out on) or the replacement that I recently received from verizon. I have to go with the LV 1100mhz. I had ZERO luck with most of the p3droid kernels, but chevyno1's LV's work well. My battery life is about as mediocre as it ever was though, and I was really hoping to get some more juice out of this thing. I dont mean to complain, I love this rom!

Sorry to hear that. I flashed Chevy's ULV 12500 MHz kernel and it booted up quickly and it's running extremely well. The battery life and performance is great. Loving it.

So do you know what you would like to add to the new ROM, dew?

I'm a little divided. I like some of the advanced settings found in ROMs like Sapphire / UD / Cyan - however, the farther you deviate from vanilla android the more likely you to run into issues (both overt & covert). In a nutshell, this is why some ROMs run better than others. Currently, my ROM runs extremely well (in my humble opinion ;) ) because there are very few & carefully crafted changes to the core android OS. Thus, I'm not really sure about certain changes I'm looking at making right now. What would you like to see?

Yeah, I agree, some of the settings in other ROMs seem really nice. But, I haven't really seen a new one that's stable, which makes me reluctant to try them. I would definitely agree that your ROM runs really well because I really can't think of anything negative that's happened so far and I really love the look of everything. So as far as it goes with the advanced settings, imo I think I'd rather have a flawless ROM. But I guess the only thing I can think of is could you change the dialer to suit the theme better?

Wait, one more thing... I just noticed something while I was admiring my home screens. My Pandora widget isn't the smoke glassed one anymore. :( I have no idea what happened, but what do you think is the easiest way of getting it back?

*made this post in an older thread without realizing it*

Just curious if anyone else noticed the weak vibration when unlocking the phone. I noticed it right off the bat. I'm just used to the more intense vibrate when I unlock and now I can barely even notice it. Is there anyway to fix this or am I SOL? I'm kinda new to the rooting scene and would appreciate any input. Love the feel and look of this rom though!

I've noticed that my maps icon changed back to the older default 2.2 version. I quite liked the new version it was after I unlocked this ROM. Or am I imagining things?

Dew,
Thanks for the reply. I used APN backup/restore and backed up my factory APN and then reflashed your rom. Used APN and deleted the apn and restored my backup. All great now . So far so good. This reminds me of my WM6.5 days.

Thanks agian for a great rom.

BTW: I had an issue with a blank corner on my WBug maps and MYTracks but your rom is fine. I'm enjoying a full functioning rom.

I have a Moto Droid 1 and am actually eligible for an upgrade so i figured I'd give root and custom rom a try first, and am I glad i did. My stock phone drove me nuts with laggy screen scrolling and application lag and i could not keep the battery charged even when i wasn't doing anything with it. So i installed this rom after rooting and have been blown away. I did a benchmark test yesterday after installing (picture attached) and my 1+yr old droid outperformed any phone on the list with a mark of 1463 (from Quadrant), above even the nexus one, droid x, and HTC Evo 2.2+, AND I've been off the charger for 19 hours with 60% battery still remaining and that's with mild usage. Thanks for the great rom, loving it.
