Root If I unroot my phone and i have a custom rom installed??

Upvote 0
Hi i am new here.
I have the mindcr ics Rom and i wish to unroot.
Is it possible to unroot and keep that Rom?
When i installed it, it deleted everything including my contacts,
will it do that if i unroot?

I wish to unroot ONLY so some apps work, which stream stuff.

If there is a way for those apps to work, them great!

Cheers,

the Cobbster.

Ps can you PM me answer as well as post here?
I don't know if i get notifications for new reply!

cheers!

Hi sorry for the late reply, I now have a galaxy s2,
And may root it, I have flixster rand a couple of other apps,
They say they won't run on a rooted device. Is there a way around this?

not sure you might want to check over at xda and see if they have a work around or not. but on my rooted evo 4g lte, i do not seem to have any issues with apps that are installed.

I haven't had very few apps that couldn't run on rooted devices and "hide my root" was my work around.

They are mixed reviews in the market for it, but it worked for me on hiding/restoring su and su binary

Edit:

GS2 rooted here, confirmed flixster definitely works while rooted without hiding binaries
