Help Does it work well with Hulu/Netflix? As a Media player?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new phone and really interested in one that's a good media player to watch movies on. I've been told that the Epic 4g supports more video file types than the Evo does and that it makes a better media player in general (even though it lacks the HDMI Out). However, I heard that since it's on Adroid 2.1, it has trouble with flash. Since it looks like 2.2 may never come, I'm really concerned about this as I'd like to be able to watch movies via Netflix instant streaming and Hulu. Can the Epic do this or does it have trouble? How about Youtube and Vimeo? Can anyone reccommend a better phone as a media player from Sprint?

I've got the Epic with 2.2 and flash. Works great with Hulu and every flash site and it plays every media format you can think of naivety and smoothly. The Evo is a good choice also but if you have a chance to compare the 2 you should. The Evo stutters a lot during video playback in certain formats; I've never had that issue with the Epic.

I would like to point out that the Epic does have an HDMI out...

Samsung has a special cable for the Galaxy S phones that plugs into the USB port. The phone is supposed to detect this special cable, switch the port over from USB to HDMI, and enable a TV Out menu in the display settings.

Right now, they're about $50. I haven't bought one yet, but I've added it to my amazon wish list so that I can order it easily later.

And I would like to point out that no one has ever reported that this works. There were early reports that such a USB-to-HDMI cable was supposed to work, but the reports were wrong. Samsung later said these phones did not support it.

you have to research here and at xda-developers.com for your answer.
