also, since the update i have had phone issues that i never experienced before. when i first boot the phone in the morning after being off and charging at night, i try and make a call and hear no ringing and can not hear the other person if it connects. if i receive a call (it rings) and i pick it up, i also can not hear the person. i reboot again and the problem disappears. happened both days since the "upgrade". this is not a fluke.

Just had my first real bug with this update today. Attempted to make a call, phone locked up for a good 10 seconds after clicking the contacts number to call. I clicked the number 2-3 times and it didn't do anything but I was still able to "click" it (animation and all still played, but the call didn't start). Just as I was getting ready to attempt to shut down the phone the call decided to start. Since then it has been working flawlessly though, might be a bug with dialer one or something though as I do use that to replace the stock phone app.

My phone just rebooted a few minutes ago, so now its happened three times. When it restarted my Fancy Widgets clock came up with no numbers and phone was locked up so I had to power down and restart. I'm definitely not a fan of this update. Phone was flawless prior to this update and if this continues I'm going to be squawking to Verizon.

Exact same issues here. Reboots when disconnected from charger and today, it just rebooted out of nowhere. My phone before this was flawless, too, and never had a reboot.

Not happy.

I updated with the leaked update file before the public release. Before the update I was getting a lot of lag and drag, and I would have to reboot and clean the cache at least once a day.

After the update, it was like I had a new phone. The lag was gone, and the phone felt pretty zippy. I also haven't seen a random reboot since the update.

It's now been several days since the update, and the lag and drag has started to creep back into the phone. I guess I need to try to figure out what is affecting my phone.

Query: Can having too many apps installed, even if most of them are not being actively used, affect the overall performance of the phone?
Did you sbf directly to it or sbf back to 2.1 and then OTA?

Same deal here...it's not a fluke!

Update went without a problem and was very fast.

After the update I again got the failure to connect to my Wi-Fi (continual "Connecting..... Authenticating.... Disconnecting....") like I got when going from 2.1 to 2.2. Only thing that fixed that was changing my router from "Mixed" to "G Only". So far, the only fix this time around is to CHANGE IT BACK to "Mixed" AND to set SSID to be broadcast instead of hidden.

Otherwise, I have not noticed any other problems yet.

Just downloaded my X to 2.3.34 - I haven't noticed anything newer except for the Gmail upgrades which I think Gmail pushed out right before the system upgrade. I did see the Madden app in my applications folder. I won't play with that until I'm in range of a WIFI.

i need some recommendations for apps though....

I want a music player that I can control from the lock screen - any suggestions?

Can your lock screen wallpaper be different from your regular screen wallpaper? Is there an app for that?

the default music player on my droidx allows me to control from lock screen.

I am still unable to update to the new OS (for whatever reason, as I am non-rooted...but I digress), but the problem you've mentioned has happened to me several times on the 2.3.15 build (Android OS 2.2). I really thought I was the only person this was happening to, but I have no clue if this is due to any installed application conflicts or another fluke. But it doesn't seem to be directly related to the update.
