Help Market Not Working

My market hasn't been working today at all.

I have the new 2.2.7 market and when I click my apps, I get an error saying "a network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen."

I've tried uninstalling the 2.2.7 market and using the old market, I've tried both wifi and 3g and I've tried clearing market data and cache in application settings.

Nothing works.

Market was working just fine earlier today or yesterday for sure. No major changes since then.

Any ideas?

So what are we all supposed to do?

I've done everything I can possibly think of.

I also tried disabling ad free android, just in case that might have been blocking the phone from reaching the market.

It's just really weird that I can install things, I just can't get to the my apps page.

In the short run, you can use appbrain to sync your apps and it can show you which apps have updates and then take you to the market page for each to install the update. Not an elegant solution, but it works for now.

With as many people having this problem, I'll hold off on radical solutions, like factory reset, at this point.

More people here with the exact same issue.

I have a Vibrant that got the message this morning too, but then that worked 15 minutes later.

I also started a thread on the Motorola support site.

Solved.

Uninstall NHL Gamecenter app.

Fix courtesy of just lou
Android Market My Apps "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return

Someone needs to get google to take a look at this though so it doesn't happen again!

I suggest hitting up the NHL here.

If we all fill out the form or call, hopefully they'll get the idea that their app is breaking the android market.

Oh no. I'm getting the problem again. From other reports, there are multiple apps causing the problem and I bet the list is growing. Maybe it's occurring when an app updates or changes something with how it's set up in the market.

Looks like google is going to have to get on this one quickly here.

I still have the 2.2 market and i get force close when i download or update and every now and then network error!
Totally different issue. There's probably a thread for that.

That goes away with the Market 2.2.7 version by the way. I'm sure you can find that .apk if you look around.

Still broken for me.
Interesting. I did manually update a couple of programs. Maybe doing that fixed my issue and maybe Google didn't get around to fixing this just yet.

Easytether stopped working for me for whatever reason on my new Droid X. After going through a few unsuccessful fixes, I uninstalled it and was going to re-install it but Market kept coming up with the "A network error . . . ". As such I haven't been able to download and re-install Easytether. I have two problems here: Easytether and the network error. I think they're related and if the network problem is resolved, Easytether will resume working as well. So, does anyone have a fix for this network problem?

For anyone having trouble updating an app right now check and see if you have the app on the SD card. If so move it back to the phone and see if you can update then. Another thing to try that has worked for me for certain apps that would not install and and give me an error was to move it to the phone if it had been stored on the SD card then unmount the SD card and do the update or install.
