[ROM][GPL][STABLE] aospMod v0.9.9.2 | AOSP 2.2.1 (Froyo) [12/10/2010]

I flashed this ROM successfully, but I have a question regarding email. Previously,I used the email widget from sense to get a quick view and delete emails easily if necessary. this ROM does not have any of the sense widget, and I really don't care for any of these widgets except for the email widget... Do you guys know of an email client app that I can try to replace the sense email client and widget? If not, has anybody tried getting this widget installed using this aosp ROM?

Have you tried deleting cache and data from the app itself, Menu/settings/applications/manage applications then hit the all tab and look for those apps and delete cache first then data and try again

Ive been noticing some programs not running fully. Such as The Weather Channel, it wont let me view radar, same with Weatherbug. Tried re-flashing, and uninstalling/reinstalling apps, wiping data etc...
Other apps run very slow, such as games.

Everything loads fast, but just doesnt run fast.

I have not, but I use both email apps, the Native app that you can download from the market and the exchange app and they both work great I use Launcher Pro and make sure you have the app icon in your dock drawer and make sure you go into the LP preference and make sure in the dock settings that you check mark unread Gmail count ;)

Hey guys,

I am a total newbie at this so please forgive me. I recently flashed this rom. I just cant find the app market on the first rom file. How do u install the gapps without being able to download any kind of apps to install it on the app market. Any way to install the market app without going into command propmt? Any help would be great!

Download the gapps file on your computer or download to your phone. Boot to recovery, wipe cache and Davlik cache and then install zip file. Reboot phone and sign into google account

ive been running aosp 2.2.1 for about a week now. at first it was fast smooth and no issues. now for the past couple days it's been rebooting and freezing up. i tried to fix permisions with rom manager with no luck. should i reflash? i don't want to wipe everything and start over though.

First I would boot to recovery and wipe cache and Dalvik cache, reboot phone and see if that helps.

If problems persist, wipe Dalvik cache and cache and reflash 0.9.9.2, reboot phone

Then, if you still have freezes or reboots, try a full wipe, data, cache and Dalvik cache

For a stable mod, I sure get quite a few Force Closes and apps spontaneously closing. Simply trying to text using Hancent I had to open the program three times before it would stay long enough to send a quick text. I know the standard, try reflashing the rom technique, but has anyone else noticed this? I swear I have the worst luck with finding a rom that will start stable and remain stable.

Thanks! I will try it out, I didn't do either yet. I also tried lowing my frequency for overclock down from 768 and then seemed to stop them. Maybe my phone wasn't to happy running that high?

Most phones are stable between 691-710

CacheCleaner NG from the market is a great cache cleaner, you can also set a schedule when to clean cache;)

Did you do a FR by mistake ??

Hmmm...so after running Rom Manager and Fixing the permissions, I rebooted. Then all of my widgets were gone, and I can't add them back, they are not even in the widget list. I will try rebooting again, but I have no idea what that did.

Does anyone else have a problem sending a text message that is over 160 characters? When I was on my stock phone, it would send it as a 2 part text message. Now, it takes forever and then says failure to send. I usually wouldnt care, but this SMS system doesnt show remaining characters either, so i never know if i hit the 160 mark. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
