Details:

This is really just an extension of my X10 Res Mods Theme but thanks to zdzihu's xRecovery we can now flash user ROMS to the phone which has made things a whole lot simpler. This is based on zdzihu's rooted S.E 2.1, 2.0.2.A.0.24 ROM with a tweaked Res Mods Theme.

Installing:

You need to install xRecovery, then extract the folder named "Eminence v1.2" to /sdcard/xrecovery/backup, then reboot into xRecovery and use the Restore option to install the ROM to your phone. You can find a more detailed guide by hellsrage619 HERE

Credits:

MrRusch
for his work on the framework mod, H0CKEY for the home screen ICONS, rabetionline for pointing out the obvious, zdzihu for xRecovery and the rooted ROM, Fightspit for the SuperCircle Mod, Kersey for pointing out the JIT issue, mbrad26 for THIS, Jassiered for the Animations & Calum for his Thread.

Change Log:

Not changed a great deal really, modified for the new update, changed the button press, new animations, JIT enabled, removed the recovery menu. I've not made the background so dark so it stands out a bit more and changed the bootscreen, also cleaned up the dialler buttons.

PLEASE READ

You are free to use 99.9% for whatever you wish, HOWEVER, I created the lockscreen, I've used it in my themes, now this, and it's a feature, a signature if you like, of my work, which I don't wish to see used in other themes/ROMS, ESPECIALLY which are for the X10, and I don't think that's an unfair request, PLUS, if you are going to create something for the community, try and put your own stamp on it. :)

If you get a md5 "mismatch" error, smartgardens has posted a solution HERE. Or some have said renaming the folder, for example, "Eminence v1.2" to Eminence_v1.2" works also.

If you've not already used zdzihu's ROM and flashtool files to update to 2.0.2.A.0.24 then you need to update the Baseband as well. Doesn't matter if you don't, but as we all like to be upto date you might as well...

You need xRecovery to flash rooted system (and system only) image.
Then you need X10 flasher to flash all remaining parts (SIN files = kernel, baseband etc)

Cheers,
z
...so just run the flashtool from HERE

Market Issues Have Nothing To Do With Themes

* You can find most of the apps that have been removed HERE, and if it's not listed in the first post chances are you will find it somewhere in the thread.

Just to let everyone know who aren't already using this rom - this is THE rom to have, it looks amazing, it stripped of all the junk and runs fast and lag free.

Really can't recommend it enough. This is my rom of choice and should be yours too :D
Wow, thanks, that's quite a compliment! :)

I was hoping to release a small update this week because there is one thing aesthetically that I've now changed, that I was going to before uploading it, which for me just tops it off, but don't ask what it is because I won't tell you, but given the comments I've been getting I'll leave it as it is for now.

I only tell the truth of how good this rom is to encourage people to use it. It really does transform the X10.

Nooooo, you can't tease like that and not tell what the update is. Can't see how the rom could get any better looking. You've got to spill the beans mate...have a heart it's almost Christmas :p

This is going to sound soooo noob, but I have no real clear concept of ROMs. In the pc world ROM is a physical memory chip and I cant get past that LOL Once installed, it's still a regularly functioning phone that you can install/uninstall and genearlly configure in the same way as currently? It's just tweaked things and removed thigns and installed other things to make the phone perform more optimally but nothing is locked or altered such that you can't work with it as you would currently?

I'm a really busy bee this week so just aren't going to have the time to work on it, and as for telling you what it will be, I'll hold on to it, something so small but just gives it a whole other look, I just wish I'd tested it before uploading, but then again, I might not have been so keen to change it.

100% correct, I've taken S.E's ROM, tweaked it to how I like, and uploaded it, and xRecovery allows you to flash it, or any other ROM compatible with xRecovery to your phone, it's a real breakthrough for the X10 and X10 users.

Is it hosted anywhere else? I click the xrecovery link you provided, click the download link..then 'click here to download' from the mediafire link and it takes me to a blank white screen.

I can't get xRecovery to install. I click the install xrecovery button and it says it's granted superuser permissions but then the three files get a red circle with slash through it and nothing else :( I'm trying to read through the 60+ page thread on XDA to figure out what's wrong.. but if anyone else knows how to get by this I'd appreciate the time saver :)

Help is at hand my friend. Try this manual method to install XRecovery.

First download XRecovery.apk, unpack it with winrar.

You will now have a number of folders, you are looking for a folder named raw (sorry am in work at the moment so am going from memory!!!), in that folder are 3 files - busybox, chargemon and xrecovery.

You need to manually copy these files to system/bin folder. You will need an app that allows you to change to write permissions such as Root Explorer, it's only a few $ and is well worth it.

Once the files are copied reboot and then you've got XRecovery during the Sony Erricson logo by pressing the back button :D

for those how had problems to install this do:
download *.apk
unzip it and go "./res/raw"
copy the 3 files to the root of sdcard
check debbug mode
open adb and type this:
HTML:
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
dd if=/sdcard/busybox of=/system/bin/busybox
dd if=/sdcard/chargemon of=/system/bin/chargemon
dd if=/sdcard/xrecovery.tar of=/system/bin/xrecovery.tar
reboot
