Hi Eddy OS, I was asking a question which, according to my searches of this forum, is unique. It seemed a good idea to add in the link again.

Be careful, in your desire to avoid repeated threads, that you don't give an impression to which some will take offence.

If anyone can help with my question such would be appreciated. I am running a bog standard Desire on t-mobile - unrooted, unanythinged.

Thanks.

In some instances, especially when the other thread is on page one of this forum, offence is intended. Not neccessarily to you, mind ;) You don't have to look hard to see the Swype thread, you could've posted your question in the other active thread.

Anyway, can't help with the rotation as it works fine in my ROM - albeit custom. I can't see it being disabled in a stock ROM but I could be wrong, would be strange as surely they know people use the keyboard in landscape mode??

The other thread is on the first page so a little searching would have helped. Plus when you create a thread like this it gives you suggested threads that have already been created.

I agree that people should not be shot down (and you in no way did Eddy) but it does get annoying sometimes when you spend a lot of time on here helping people and the OP has not had a quick little look to see if the problem has not been sorted before.

On rotation, I am rooted using DeFroST and it works perfectly. Also rotated perfectly on every other ROM I've used previously including before I was rooted so it does work on stock. As you probably know there is not a setting within swype to change this so it is inbuilt so I would suggest looking in your sms app etc to check the settings within there

Definitely seems this is an issue with users, people on XDA have said the same thing...

Might need to be fed back to Swype perhaps??

Not that it will do much good, they are possibly the worst I have had to deal with on feedback etc.

Seem to chuck the apk out there and then forget about it.

Love the keyboard just a shame about the aftercare.
