Help Android 2.1 Update NZ

I had the same problem. Are all the drivers loaded? On the LG update tool are the words "Install USB Driver" ]It does not look like a button but it is. Click this
Let it do its thing, downloading....it will go through about 3 or 4 steps.OPening rar files.... When its is finished reboot PC. And connect phone again, and it should show new update available, to be safe I changed my country to NZ, but I am sure Australia version is the same.

Good Luck.

Hey thanks for the reply,

I uninstalled everything and tried it again, but it's still doing the same thing. Once the Update tool is installed, I install the USB drivers. First it installs the United Mobile Driver, then opens the .rar file for the USB WML Mobile Driver, then opens the next .rar for the SP USB Driver and then it's done. I close it and reboot, open up the Update tool and connect my phone. Windows does some thing about installing the device drivers, once that's done then the update tool starts to detect my phone and then the same thing over again.

That's the story haha. Maybe I'm just not destined for 2.1? :(

Sorry mate can't help with that one as i still can't update yet.

*To everyone who has successfully updated*

Please tell me what operating system you are running!Windows 7 64bit is a nightmare.I tried a virtual XP box and made it a little further bit still no dice.

Vista 32, I used PC suite IV and it automatically used the LGUpdater hitch free...except for the obvious problem I'm having now...I am wondering however if it had anything to do with the fact that I had the Aussie Vodafone 2.1 update before updating

p.s. Just did a hard reset of my phone wiping everything and now it works fine! 2.1 and all :)

Finally managed to update. Ended up uninstalling the upgrade tool, drivers and PC Suite (which I'd done before), did a factory reset on my phone. Reinstalled everything and it worked. Took a little under 20 minutes to upgrade and everything seems to be working all good.

Woot! :D Be damned, the update actually worked!

For anyone else having trouble with windows 7 64bit.

What I did:
- deleted all drivers, update tool, and PC suite.
- downloaded LG air sync (link found in another post here)
- IMPORTANT- remove SD card
- Install air sync and it installs the drivers you need
- synced my phone contacts etc with air sync.
- started update.

The updater gets stuck at 4% for a while.
Don't worry, this is normal. Took about 10 mins to complete.
Have now upgraded from V10a to V20D firmware 2.1 update 1!

Hope this helps somebody...:D
