Root [Rom] X10 Eminence [For xRecovery]

Upvote 0
I can't get xRecovery to install. I click the install xrecovery button and it says it's granted superuser permissions but then the three files get a red circle with slash through it and nothing else :( I'm trying to read through the 60+ page thread on XDA to figure out what's wrong.. but if anyone else knows how to get by this I'd appreciate the time saver :)
Make sure your phone isnt plugged into anything when you try and install thats what happened to me.

X10iUser, I have installed your rom, works great thanks. However I really would like to have a go myself, so far I have use APK manager to decompile the framework-res apk. Now I would like to try something small to start so downloaded the battery ring icons and xml code and replaced the originals. Is that it, is it that simple? I'm ready to recompile and copy the framework-res back to the phone. What I really need is a guide to start me off then I can try other mods. how did you learn?

I'm not an it professional but like to have a go. many thanks.

Hi.

All I do is open the apk with WinRar and drag and drop stuff to it, leaving it open while you work on it, that way you don't have to mess about having to decompile and resigning them, which works for the majority of system apks, Market apps are another matter.

I learned from reading as many guides as I could and practising, if something goes wrong just run seus and start over, or use an xRecovery backup. I've had to do 3 full seus flashes today experimenting with the Android kitchen, and may have to do it another few times later on because this is all new to me.

This should be enough to get you on your way - [UPDATED 25.11.2010] X10 Theme Reference

For those who are looking for some applications, should first read the guide.. it says some of applications has been removed, so u wont find them.

Just to let you know, i tried repairing in SEUS and it gave me back my original rom.
Yes thats what happens when you do that because by "repairing" your really just installing the latest firmware/ROM as that should fix any software problem.
Which sucks but remember theirs lots that can go wrong doing this kinda stuff.

Hello everybody, I installed a couple of weeks ago this ROM and I find it AWESOME......performances got wayyyyy better, GUI looks great....so far so good, but yesterday I noticed that every time I plug in the phone to get it recharged it turns on....seems like the same thing was happening with 1.6......is it supposed to happen ?!?

Thanks. I'm running on the new fw, I'm just trying to figure out how to create an update.zip then I will release an update, if I don't figure it out, I'll just the backup method again.
is it supposed to happen ?!?
Not if you've turned the phone completely off before connecting the charger.

v1.2 Change Log:

Not changed a great deal really, modified for the new update, changed the button press, new animations, JIT enabled, removed the recovery menu. I've not made the background so dark so it stands out a bit more and changed the bootscreen, also cleaned up the dialler buttons.
