Root help please.

i rooted my phone and tried to put the baked snack rom on it. i followed wat they say here. BakedSnackShack.com and wen it starts the flash. it opens the program and then says installation aborted. so idk why its not finishing. and my phone is really laggy now. i had to restore it from my last nandroid. so i either need to know how to install the rom or fix my phone because its so laggy its almost hard to use.

What was your battery level? You might just have a bad download of the rom it happens sometimes. If you restored a nandroid then nothing should be making it laggy that wasn't there before.

yeah it always freezes and shows the "white HTC screen". or loading and all apps take forever to load.

on that site i posted it says i have to download the latest winmax, radio and the actual ROM. do i put all those files in my root? cause i did. lol oopps.

i have even deleted the ROM and radio and winmax files. still runs like doo doo.

any ideas?

Re download the Rom and the radio updates it needs..
And just drop them right on your sd card.. that is called the "root" of your sd card.

Try to reflash the rom and updates. Wipe cache, (twice if you want) Wipe dalvik cache (twice again) and then install the rom. Then install the updates. See if you still have lag and problems.

idk if i was supposed to try to update all the zip files (radio, winmax, and rom) but i think maybe the radio files took. because wen i open my hboot menu, it says i have the 2.15.... radio version. and i think thats the newest one... ill redownload the rom and let you know how it goes. ill wipe the cache and delvik twice also.

Actually, to know your radio took, it should say 2.15.00.11.19 (i think thats what it is, i havent done my radio yet)

yeah my radio took. i dont even know wat that is actually. lol only did it because it says to. i have the rom redownloaded and the winmax. so ill reflash and see wat happens.

on the link i posted earlier for baked snacks it says i have to have a custom recovery. i just noticed and dont know if i do.... is that just a restore point? or something totally different that i missed?

If you can access recovery then you have a custom recovery. I.e. clockwork or amon ra.

i redownloaded and still couldnt get it to work so i tried the cyanogen mod and it works perfect. phone runs good. except i cant log into my google account from my phone or laptop. but thats a totally different issue. ill figure it out later. thanks for all the help guys. that was a nice welcome to the forum.

If you flashed cyanogen make sure you flashed the gapps
