Root [ROM STABLE] Bugless Beast V0.6 Android 2.2 FRG83D

What is this? Sorry for the dumb question but ive looked everywhere and cant find out if this applies to me and what it does, I am currently running BBv4 and was planning on flashing BBV6.1 today. Should i flash V6 then flash the patch or is the fix in the newer version of the ROM?

If your on BBv4 then it doesn't apply. It is for BBv 0.6.1, You do not have to flash to BBv0.6 first you can just flash BBv0.6.1.

Once you have it all set then you can flash the patch for the compcache. It speeds up the phone through manipulating the memory. It is located in 6.1 under settings->ROM Toolkit->Performance. v.6 had a few flaws that Pete fixed in .6.1.

As far as I know the BB Toolkit no longer works from what I have read (mine stopped working and many others have also). Pete moved a lot of the Toolkit functions into the Settings menus in .6 and .6.1. Though am not 100% certain why is started force closing.

Is anyone else having issues with the autocorrect not working with the software keyboard?

I'm used to having the end-of-sentence period enter with two spaces, and such.

None of the usual correcting and word-finishing is happening. I don't have any alternative keyboards loaded.

I have not had a problem though I use Swype normally. The 0.6.1 changelog shows the fix for the auto correct was included into the updated ROM.

**Update**
Ok, so much for the 3D Launcher being great, lol - it reverted back to its usual laggy, sporadic and downright awful self yesterday. Switched back to LauncherPro (tried and true!) - I don't think it has anything to do with the ROM, I just think its a poorly developed application. On another note, anyone noticing that the DSP Manager app on this ROM is the older version? Not only that, but it has a tendency to lock up and become unresponsive..
------

Coming from UD2.5 here.. used to be a loyal BB follower.. then BBv5 came out and was a supreme let down (a void that was filled by LFY) - took the plunge on UD 2.1 and never turned back..

But seeing a new BB version that people seemed to like.. I couldn't help but flash it.. so I did.. (did a full wipe, including partitions)

What a difference between v5 and this one.. like night and day. ROM is very snappy and smooth, although I noticed that my Droid got pretty hot with the stock slayher kernel that's on this thing.. (I'm going to chalk that up to the ROM settling in on first boot)

The New Market is pretty slick looking but it didn't restore my apps - no biggie though since I don't really have a ton to begin with. I've always hated the 3D launcher, primarily because it was slow and clunky.. not on this ROM though! - in fact, I haven't switched to LauncherPro yet because it's working so well, lol.. just wish I could change the icons on the dock..

I LOVE the new keyboard.. man, this is what it should've been from the start! I didn't think it was possible to get over my Swype fix, but this new keyboard hasn't made me want to load it up..

So far, so good - will see how well the battery life is on this thing as I put it through its paces..

Pretty much was I was looking to here, as my experience was pretty much the same. I was very critical of .05 because it really fell behind where other ROMs were going. LFY really filled that void and UD was right up there.

Now it's like LFY has kinda fallen off and UD has been my go to for a few versions now. UD 2.5 has all the functionality, speed, and quite amazing battery life (all previous builds have not faired well for me with battery life).

But now, it's starting to get a lil laggy (as many ROMs do over time), even with all the tweaks n tricks. So I'm very curious to give BB v.6.1 a chance, as BB along with CM were the gold standards at one time.

I love this new ROM! I have been running v.04 forever now. I tried v.05 and didn't like it. It is nice to finally rid the constant pushes of the OTA "system update" that took place on both v.04 & v.05 (even after flashing the patches that were supposed to stop it).

BB roms are great all around, i've toyed around with tons of different roms and I always seem to find myself nandroiding back to a bugless beast rom. I also like that you used a slayher kernel for this rom, i've found best results using slayher kernels over BB roms. Good work pete.

Something is draining my battery fast.. It says its the display.. Is something different i went straight from .5 to .6.1. Stock k: 800 mhz
I did look at the toolkit and changed current governor to on-demand.. Any ideas?

Had 50% last night went i went to bed around 10:00 woke up at 7:00 and phone was dead.. Only thing that has changed is this Rom. (as far as i know anyway)

Oh and it seems that the Rom started out fast now seems choppy and slow.. Something is going on here. Im sure its on my end.

I noticed the same thing. Back on .5, (and using a P3Droid kernel), I had STELLAR battery life. I'm on .6.1 now with a slayher kernel, and my battery has taken a big hit. I'm thinking about going ULV to try and stem the tide.

I installed 0.6.1 over 0.6 without an issue. I still miss it not having the LED notification settings, but otherwise this works like a dream

I found missed call LED notify is under settings/call settings/ Missed call LED notify can be checked. not sure about the other apps that use them like gmail and such. IT gave me a blue LED which was cool because i never saw a blue light on my D1 since i bought lt last November

I figure I would give a semi review on the ROM so far. I havent really opened it up and really played around with it yet but thats what Im going to do tonight. My battery life has improved now on day three, im going to really stress this baby tonight and see how the kernel handles it and see if the phone stays as snappy and stable as it was before. Im also going to theme it and try launcher pro with it. Man Its going to have to really impress me to keep me away from Sorcery ROM

Hey, I just got this new BB rom last night..Am loving it..However My car mode doesn't work now..It says it's enabled, But the screen for the app doesn't show up...Is there a known issues with that and if so is there a fix for it?...

Check to see if you have the app. If not go to the market and download the app to install it or try and reinstall the app.
