Root DaColors (Themes for GAOSP!)

Should the battery indicator have the same color as the network signal and wifi?

  • Slightly different colors (don't change it)

Hey guys, I figured I'd start a thread about the theme I'm using for GAOSP. I used to post versions here and there without any kind of change-log and it was confusing for everybody.

Check out THAT POST for the latest DaBlues screenshots.

Here are the screenshots for the 1.1 versions:

Latest versions:

DaBlues_1.3.zip

DaBlues_1.1.zip
DaFlame_1.1.zip
DaGrass_1.1.zip

To use this, put it on your internal SD card, reboot in recovery mode, fix package permissions and then apply this zip file. After booting, you should go in the CyanogenMod settings, select User Interface, Tweak Extras, Select a theme and pick STOCK_Black. You should also change the indicator color for the power control buttons if you are not using DaBlues.

Older versions:

DaFlame_0.7.zip
DaGrass_0.7.zip
DaBlues_0.7.zip

I'm using Launcher pro: the calendar widget and the SMS widget both came with it (although they are themed). The Weather/clock widget is from FancyWidgets pro. I cannot share these.
Changelog:

0.3 (1215 nightly): First release
0.4 (Beta 3): Minor changes
0.5 (Beta 3): Changed animations
0.6 (Beta 3): Optimized package (2.46MB instead of 4.80MB !)
0.7 (Beta 3): Reverted to stock animations. New names. First try at three different colors. Added backgrounds.
1.0 (Beta 3): Theme now compatible with UOT Kitchen, new homemade boot animation (preview), lockscreen unlock icon now blue, changed battery icon and color (now using every notification icon from Gingerbread).
1.1 (Beta 3): Changed messaging and phone icons on lockscreen. Released new versions of DaGrass and DaFlame.
1.3 (Beta 3): Changed lockscreen, added black menus, check the post for more details

I accept feedback and you can even request stuff for the future versions!

TO DO:

- DaSun (yellow/golden theme) (Won't do it, I didn't update DaFlame or DaGreen)

Known issues:

1.1 and 1.3: The Android guy doesn't change color when the USB is mounted. This is an issue with the Beta 3 and not with the theme.

Updated the first post with latest release! I also changed the thread name, thanks for the suggestions.

Wow, a red theme could turn out awesome!
Please, please daddy DaS :D

The one I made is far from awesome in my opinion. The indicators are way too flashy for my liking, plus red is kind of alarming for the battery indicator. I'll stick with blue for now, even green looks weird to me.

I should post screenshots or something. Maybe tomorrow.

Yes lol, thank you for reverting back to standard animations, the new animations been annoying me, especially when turned off; there seems to be a glitch where pixels appear for a split second when opening a window/menu

I always have the animations turned off and that's what caused me to change them back. ;)

In DaBlue, seems like the battery icon on the top bar turns to green when charging, is this bug or feature?

Edit: oh, the "sex" after the alarm on the digiclock widget is from sexta-feira (Wednesday) and not some scheduled "task" :p

It's a feature. You don't like it?

And yeah, of course, sexta-feira.

Looks great D !! Installed PB3 and DaBlues last night. Very happy camper. If I get the time today, I am going to supercircle battery it.

Thanks! You can even post it here when you're done if some other people want to download it. I didn't put it in because I'm not a fan of the look, and in Cyanogen Mod Settings you can set it to show the numbers (the whole range, just like the super circle battery).

Also, is anyone bothered by the difference in color between the battery indicator and the network signal/wifi in DaBlues?

Well, I did notice a difference. Doesn't bother me that much. Once I get the supercircle battery on, it won't bother me at all !!

Now about that battery ... If I am going to make one for public consumption, what do you folks want ?? The standard one changes color as the battery level depletes. A little piece of me wants to keep it blue until the battery is just about dead, then change the color to red. Thoughts ??

Actually, i noticed it and posted my doubt, but now I kind of like it. gives a clear signal to when battery is charging. As for the difference between batt. and wifi colour, again, kind of like it.

gonna try daGrass for a couple a days to see how it feels. but i think it will be hard to move from daBlues. At first I thought it looked awkward, but it grew on me.

Thanks a lot for this great theme
