I have asked this before , cannot find Google Earth anywhere in the market? What happened? Had it before even though it could never find my location, the same goes for Google maps, always says cannot find location try later, but still looking for Google Earth.

And if it's not blocked for your country as sitlet correctly suggested, you may find and download it by surfing to this URL in your phone's browser:

m.google.com/earth

If that URL is blocked where you live, and you are determined to get it anyway, you will have to try to go there via proxy. But that could then be regarded as breaking the law by those that blocked your access in the first place. Be aware of that.

Can anyone actually install and run this program on their phone?

Afaik it works fine in Europe, north America, Japan and South Korea. Elsewhere I'm not so sure. But that's got nothing to do with the software but rather with local government censorship.

I.o.w. talk to your member of parliament (if you have them) about it. It's not a technical issue.

I found this on the Google Android forum,Go into Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and then choose 'Market'. On that screen there should be an option to 'uninstall updates' or something like that. This will rollback the 'Market' to the previous version and you should be able to download apps now from the market...well at least i could.

It worked! the Google earth icon came right up, and loaded, does anyone know what's going on, are these phones this complicated?
To all that replyed and had the same results I did,try this.

Yea, I did this on my new phone, but apparently it was too new for the factory load version to date before they pulled Earth, so no go.

Now please tell me how I can re-install Market Updates and get back up to date.

The only option is uninstall updates. Once done, there is no option to re-install, just a prompting to uninstall updates.

Perhaps it updates automatically when you turn your phone on? I'm gonna reboot and try that.

EDIT: That appears to be the case. Android Market appears to update when you turn your phone on.
