Must do things For a X ?????????

While my first inclination is to say root that b!

My second is to agree with former advice and say try out all the items on the phone first before you root. So you have a hassle free return. IE use maps more than once, use BT, watch a vid or 2 load up some tunes, text, e-mail etc etc.

Then after say 2 weeks: Root that, get TI back up, and freeze the bloat ware from running on the phone. This will increase the performance surprisingly.

Once you are happy with that simple fix, loot into ROMS, themes, and the other deeper mods, don't forget to back up with Fabs Bootstrapper and Rom manager. Then Rom and look into overclockings and undervolting.

Oh and one more thing, if you just got the device. let it kill the battery to where the phone shuts itself off. Then recharge it once. This will help re-calibrate the battery meter and let your phone work better when the battery gets to 50%.

Yeah, and don't be scared at 30% life, I ran my phone for 7 hours at 30%. Got close to 48 hours of decent use.
