I just finished this Japanese RPG for the 360 and LOVED it! Definitely better than Final Fantasy 13 in my opinion because it has a much more developed story and more lovable cast of characters that you care about more. I really enjoyed how the story kept progressing and new main challenges appeared after what you supposed was going to be the ending boss. Overall, I spent about 45 hours in this game mainly focusing on the story itself. There are so many side quests that full completion would take closer to 90+ hours. It's also a beautifully made game with a pastel background/cell shading concept that works very well together.

When a game makes you genuinely sad that it's ending... it has done its job. I HIGHLY recommend this if you like JRPGs and have an Xbox 360. Definitely worth the money or rental!

I played Tales of Symphonia on the gamecube when I was younger and it was probably the best JRPG I've ever played (it's certainly one of the few I could motivate my self to finish :p).

I was considering getting Vesperia when it was released but never got round to it. But now when I look on sites like Play or Amazon, it seems to only be available from 3rd party sellers for ridiculous prices. From

I'm not sure where to get the Anime movie though. I'm assuming that it's about Yuri and his time as an Imperial Knight and perhaps adventures with Flynn based on the cover.

I could definitely see the story in the game becoming an actual anime series. They already have several "main quests" all laid out and they could perhaps stretch it to fit full seasons. The story is just so awesome and the characters are fantastic.

Something that I'm really worried about with Star Ocean: The Last Hope is that one of the biggest criticisms is that the characters are annoying and generic. Another criticism is that the English voice dubbing is really bad. Another thing that I really loved and was impressed with was the voice dubbing for ToV. All of the characters had voices that matched really well and none of the girls had the umm... "cutsy girly teehee" kind of voice, which is found with Vanille in FF13.

Star Ocean was a huge disappointment imo. I wouldn't waste the precious time or money on it if I were you. I kinda regret purchasing it.
