Root DaColors (Themes for GAOSP!)

Should the battery indicator have the same color as the network signal and wifi?

  • Slightly different colors (don't change it)

Finally got around to doing the supercircle battery's. I'll be testing one in a few minutes just to make sure they work, but I am fairly confident. Just to let you know, I am running GAOSP b3 and have DaBlues installed ( but I don't think it matters if DaBlues or any other of D's themes are installed )

Link to standard supercircle battery ( changes color as battery depletes )
Download supercirclerainbow.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

Link to a blue version ( stays blue until battery is very low, then goes orange then red )
Download supercircleblue.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

I might do some more for D's other theme colors, but I'll wait until he posts the screen shots of said themes ( so that I can match the color )

EDIT: Links are now removed due to the fact they don't work as I intended.

Well folks, its clear that I thought I knew what I was doing. When I first did the supercircle, I took my framework out of the system file and uploaded that. While the battery did work, it completely undid the DaBlues. So,I figured that I could take the framework from DaBlues and upload that. UOT Kitchen didn't like that at all. Pile of errors. I can't think of what to do next. It has become clear that I need some lessons in this stuff.

I tried to do it after reading your posts and I now know what the issue is. I'm going to add it to the "to do". I figured a way for it to work but it's annoying and I'd rather make the next release compatible instead of doing it myself so you guys can customize it the way you want. Since I know how to fix it it shouldn't be too hard and the next release will probably be ready in a couple days max.

Thanks for trying though. ;)

EDIT: did you post this on Drakaz forum??? If not please do.

I'll add that to the to-do list. :p I probably will for the next release.

Hey guys, just released DaBlues_1.0

A few changes here and there, even a new boot animation! Check the change log in the first post for more details.

Preview:
test.gif

I only released DaBlues for now, I'll get to work on the three other versions soon. I will post screenshots when I will be releasing them. I will also adapt the boot animation to fit the color for every package. I wanted to change the first boot animation (the one with the android logo), but I would need to recompile GAOSP from sources (which I can't on Windows) and it would require users to actually install the whole GAOSP package again, which would be inconvenient as you may have guessed. So the first boot animation has not changed. ;)

Also the theme is now compatible with UOT kitchen (the framework-res.apk inside the .zip). I simply had to compile the .9.png files inside the apk in Eclipse instead of using a faster workaround (most people won't care, I'm saying this for those that might be interested)

Even though the package is bigger, it's because of the new animation, the framework is actually optimized and has the same size as before.

I will be creating a thread on the drakaz forums.

Comments/questions? :D

PS: There were about 10 versions between 0.7 and 1.0 that were not released, had to tweak and test a lot. ;)

In the lockscreen, the unlock button is now blue, however I made messaging and phone accessible from lockscreen via cyanogenMod settings - Input settings; and they are still green; possible to change those as well to blue in next update :)

Sure thing, I'll add this to the to do. I didn't think about it since I'm not using this. ;) Good thing you told me now, since I'll be able to do it correctly for the other colors.

EDIT: No one cares about the new boot animation? I can get feedback on that too.

Well, since no one else will comment on the new boot ani, I will. I Like it !! Took me by surprise at first, but its really nice.

Now that DaBlues 1.0 is out, I was able to do the super circle battery. Here you go folks! This is just the standard one ( changes colors ) If someone wants something different, let me know and if I get the time, I'll do it up.

I'm glad you guys like the boot animation! I'm probably the only one seeing it often because I'm rebooting in recovery mode all the time. ;)

Updated the first post with the new releases of DaFlame and DaGrass with screenshots!

Version 1.1 was released, although you shouldn't bother updating if you are using 1.0 DaBlues already and don't use the messaging and phone tabs on the lockscreen.

@DaSchmarotzer: Hi, I have installed your theme DaBlues today and I like it. To give the clock same colour as battery using can you give me the exactly colour please? #ff00b7ff - thats the colour I used at the moment, but it's not exactly the same.
I hope you know what I mean and you can help me.
Thx

The color used for the battery indicator is #19a5c7. ;)

I made a new version, DOWNLOAD HERE. I also made one (that I didn't upload) customized for me. What I mean by that is that I removed many language files (the framework.apk is 2 MB smaller because of that!), so all that is left is English and French. I also branded my phone with my full name.

It is still for Gasop 2 Beta 3 (froyo) as gingerbread doesn't have a working camera. Also, the theme looks better on the phone.

My name isn't on the screenshots, but it is normally located where it says "No notifications". It is not written on the fourth screenshot since I did have one notification (where it says "Ongoing"). I am saying this since I can customize the theme if I get requests here or via private messages. I can write your name or anything you want. Not just there, although I might not be able to do complex stuff as I am in no way a programmer (I know some vb.net... useless when talking about Android). I can add the languages you need and remove the rest to get a smaller framework.apk.

I can also do minor changes for you (such as moving the battery indicator back where it belongs). I don't mind proposing this as I'm sure not a lot of people will contact me. The last version got 500 downloads, but I doubt this one would be as popular, so I'm going with a different approach. I can try to "personalize" another theme too, just contact me or post here. ;)

What this theme does:
New boot animation
Blue icons (battery, wifi, etc)
Black notification tray
Battery is first in the notification bar
Black menu with with text and separators
Black expanded menu
New unlock screen
Notification bar is a tad smaller to get more pixels of view
Can customize your phone via requests!
Blue Android USB logo
Blue wallpaper on your SD card

Probably more stuff!

As I support my pal DaSchmarotzer, I used this. Used as, I mean when I was using GAOSP 2 Beta 3 aka Froyo, but 'cause I'm on GAOSP 3 (latest nightly) I don't use it. Like my pal wrote his reason for not porting it to GAOSP 3 latest nightly, so I'm patiently waiting for it to appear to the latest GAOSP. But in the end it's gonna be a while cause buk has problems solving the camera issue (camera hangs when taking pictures).

For others who are indecisive, go for it - it's highly recommended.
+1

P.S: for others who are on latest GAOSP recommendation is Orange Octan theme.
