Whatever it is, however it is, it will have one revision number, and per Andy (unless he misspoke - tho I doubt that), a straight offering, not branched or other.
Okay, that seems to differ slightly from the Engadget video I saw where Google was talking Honeycomb for all platforms, but wouldn't happen immediately.

Wifi and 3G does that - the beer is mine, mine I say!
Dammit! I mean just 3G! LOL
No one's getting my last beer! :p

I hear you - just saying, in the context of little interview, we can't know yet if that had to do with their development or vendor cooperation when he made his remarks. Just too soon. Gingerbread's only been in the AOSP repository for less than a month, Honeycomb, uh, not at all. So - his remark has multiple interpretations, in my opinion only.

Oh - and thanks for giving me that last beer, I promise to not tell dan330 - doh! Is this voice-to-text still on??

Gotcha... IMHO, YMMV, batteries not included, not meant for internal consumption, etc... :D

Well, if I do lose the both of you will be duking it out. And if you really want my last beer, you're going to have to come over and drink it - no shipping of said item was expressed or implied. :p

I'm leaning towards the Sprint announcement being some type of new unlimited something or another, where it's demonstrated by David Blaine kicking it off by doing the world's longest lasting... whatever the hell this thing is.

Or maybe all dumbphones are going to be free, or all phones will have unlimited texting no matter the plan, or maybe they will eliminate the 2yr contracts, or they will accommodate all CDMA phones on their network, or maybe...

sprint-promises-industry-first-at-february-7th-event

sprint-feb-7-invite.jpg

Let's just end the speculation right here: a Sprint-locked CDMA iPhone on the heels of Verizon's wouldn't be much of an "industry first," so we're thinking that whatever the company has to unveil on the evening of February 7th in New York will be of a very different flavor. The event invite goes on to say that they'll show "that the impossible is possible," which could very well mean the Epic 4G is getting Froyo. Burn! Also look for guest David Blaine to hold his breath in a tank of things that bite for 45 minutes or so, which will make for an awesome liveblog (yes, we'll be there).

I'm predicting it'll be the "first" 4G tablet.

They're going to announce a $10 increase to the "premium data" fee which will be the industries first increase to the industries first fee for the industries first 4G network.

<---- Clicks "LMAO"

dannyBoy330 - people don't need that button for us - we ARE that button. :D

So - no Gingerbread rumors today?

Yes, so I heard that Gingerbread will be for Desktop CPUs only. No tablets, no smartphones, no laptops. We are just SOL. It's a fact. Get over it. We might be lucky if Android even makes another OS for Smartphones or Tablets b/c Steve Jobs is taking over the world. , again.

Oh, due to the recent profits claimed by Samsung & T-Mo not pursuing updates, HTC has decided to follow suit and no longer offer support on any phone beyond 1 week old unless it's predecessor has been released for a minimum of two months (it's only fair that the new phone gets a chance to sell). If you want updates, buy a new phone......

...for those who are not "in" on this comment----> /sarcasm
