Should I sell my X10 for a Xperia Arc?

and you dont think sony ericsson will fill the arc with crap?
i will be buying an arc once i'm due for an upgrade, will probably be a couple of months after its release so i will have a better idea of what its like by then.

the arc is still 3 months away, there could be a better alternative out there but i like SE phones, even tho the last one was a let down and they were slow with updates on this one but i still think highly of the X10 and have no regrets over choosing it.

^^^ dude chk dis...

Battery Type : Li-Po 1500 mAh
Talk Time : up to 7hours GSM and 3G
Stand by time : up to 430 hours GSM

past experiences tell me not to beleive what sony SAY it can do....until its release and proof that it does.

It all depends on 100's of options on batter life...3g or gsm, wi-fi on, bluetooth on etc etc

i will reserve judgement on battery life until its released

Go for it! The Arc is the sexiest device i've seen announced thus far...It doesn't seem to be a huge increase of the X10 but it does seem like this may be SE last chance to actually be anything worthwhile so i think they will support it....

And coming to At&t, I hope At&t will push them to work harder for this phone. At&t needs to strengthen it's arsenal of phones now that it's lost exclusivity to the Iphone

With zero support, who would be stupid enough to buy this pile of junk.

I could understand a little if you had not bought and been screwed over by the x10, but if you have bought the x10 and then buy a arc, more fool you.

X10 is an excellent phone. I love mine and my wife is probably going to get an Arc.

Does everything I expect from a phone and whole lot more. Much better than the phones my friends have.

I have only used a few, but have been really impressed by the X10. Good friend of mine has the Galaxy S and it's camera is garbage compared to the X10....but it was much faster when I was on 1.6. When I moved to 2.1 it got a little quicker.

Now that I am using a special image that has all the Sony junk off the phone, it works just as fast as the Galaxy....in fact, I got him to download a benchmark app and ran it and I beat him.

I had my phone a couple months before him (Galaxy wasn't available till 2 months after the X10) and I didn't have to pay 100 bucks plus be locked into a 3 year contract.

I am happy with my x10...I find people who hate it or have big complaints about it haven't set the phone up the best way they could...

If you simply use the Sony setup and then give up and hate the phone then congrats on your future paper weight. I am happy, phone working smooth and loads apps just as quick as the rest, but I feel bad for the people using the generic setup....or the people still stuck at 1.6.

Some people already have 2.2 installed on the x10...the community is our future, not Sony.

Yes but it should not be up to the community, It should be up to sony.

Hence why people should not be supporting sony, by buying their products.

As for beating the Samsung galaxy, that's not really a fair comparison. Wipe the galaxy to stock, and it would walk all over the x10 hardware. The x10 is just below the specification of the htc desire, so in theory on stock should be around the same performance. Unless you are doing a lot of processes, where the extra ram on the desire would come in handy.

But i will agree the x10s camera is very good.
