This weekend I was in Kentucky, and my evo stock clock/weather widget said I was in Portland. I thought this was wierd, but there is a portland tennessee, so I didn't think it was totally off the wall.

Today... I'm sitting in my office in Atlanta, and the phone says its 63 degrees in Hyderabad. According to google maps, this is in India.

What's going on with my phone?

I am having the same issue. Mine thinks im somewhere in Russia. I've done hard resets and it will be fine for a moment, but then it reverts back to this craziness. When i go into the settings i see where the problem is but it wont let me delete that location and it wont let me choose my home location as the default either. All of this happened after i did that last update.

I've tried every combination of settings and each time it "fixes" it, all it does is revert back to the wrong information. This has never happened to me before. When i go into the world clock and look at my location there are 2 locations. 1 is my current location which is somewhere in russia and my home location. When i go to delete the current location the delete area is greyed out so that i cant select it.

another user (Mr Ed) suggested this and it worked for me:

"Toggle gps on off on. Turn off auto in clock settings. Toggle gps again. Turn auto settings back on. Leave gps on. That usually fixes it. I have found people turn off gps to save battery. When they do that the phone tries pulling location and time from the network."

I just was using my phone and looked at the weather Icon. It says the right City for a change. But its snowing and 32 on the phone. But I am in Orange County CA. and its like 71 right now heading to 84 later. Since the update my phone has been so much fun to show off to people about how screwed up it is. So much for those fancy commercials. They need to fix our phones ASAP.

Under world clock what locations are listed and are any set as default or home?

Curious as to what is going on with this weather bug.

World Clock has my City of Orange here in California. Also has listed my
Pacific Time Zone. Only those 2 entries.

My phone really likes Tallinn Estonia. Did that again yesterday at lunch.
And about once a week it likes Luanda Angola in the evenings.

WiFi is off. I have 4G on or off and it still does it. GPS is on.

You can clear it all sorts of ways. But it WILL come back when its in the mood. NEVER did this before the Dec 15 Update to 3.70.651.1

It likes a couple other European Cities bot not as much as Estonia.

Enough people are having this issue. Sure would be nice for Sprint
to tell us what happened in the update that caused it.

Hi all,
I just started noticing this problem yesterday. The common denominator for me was WIFI being on. My phone thinks I am in California while WIFI is on, when I'm really in North Carolina. As soon as I turned the WIFI off, it fixed itself. I checked my computer and the settings are right - Eastern Time Zone.

Why would WIFI cause this to happen?
