I wonder how many Nexus S's have been sold in the month they've be out. Looking at the forum it sure looks like there are very few complaints since the release. And most of those are expected. Looking at the other threads for phones there's lots and lots of complaints and problems.
Everyone that's seen my Nexus whats one. Iphone users & other droid users. They like the speed and screen..

Probably not enough. Being stuck on tmobile or att edge only was a mistake. It should have been a pentaband phone. Also no real advertising by beat buy

T mobile is the best carrier in our Country. They are the cheapest, don't have stupid 2gb limits, great customer service, and call quality is just as good if not better than the rest.

Yeah, they haven't really done much advertising, certainly nothing main stream. I think this phone was geared more for the techies and with that didn't bother to tell the world. I know the BB's I went to were selling them one right after another. The guy at the Tmo store hadn't seen one but wanted to.
For example, look at the Captivate forum.. They don't seem to be enjoying those at all. I know the Nexus has none of the problems the Captivate has. The Nexus is much faster then the Verizon Droids, the screen is the best of all of them. The GPS works in seconds, no BS locked apps, great wifi tethering, etc, etc..
Now that my Tmo cells is up and running again it seems to work just fine, and I'm using lots of data.. The reason I would not stay with ATT. 2gb's a month.. Yeah right!!
It does seems lame that the only US carrier is Tmo but that's the best deal in town with their promo plan. Everyone I know with Tmo says they like them and stays with them...
Well, maybe someone will find the total sold posted somewhere...

i was wondering this also. I am sure it will be announced at some point.

But my real question is "who owns this phone", Samsung or Google?
And what I mean is, take for instance the Nexus One, it was manufactured by HTC for Google i.e Google paid for them and owned all the devices and all the profits went to Google with no risk to HTC. But with the Nexus S I wonder if it is the same situation. One thing is Eric Schmidt said after the Nexus One Google would be bowing out of smartphone market. And secondly when he had the phone before it was announced and was asked about it, he immediately said "Google doesn't make phones/devices". I am just wondering if Google commissioned these from the manufacturer in the same way they did the N1 or if it is actually Samsung who owns the phone but has come to some other sort of agreement with Google where they allowed the phone to remain pure Google without Samsungs crap on it.

Ok once you get past your delusions the fact of the matter is there the smallest and thats why the tmobile only 3G is a stupid business decision

I don't know if you know this but tmobile uses the exact towers that at&t uses. I use to use at&t and had no problem with their service but I def. don't notice any difference other than tmobile is faster and cheaper.

Yes so therefore like I have said the Nexus line as of now is a loss for Google and without at least At&t bands its not made for profit

Yeah, and based on the limited availability, it suggests that Google never intended for it to be a big seller. I still feel it's all about the quality of users though. The majority of Nexus S users will be developers and modders, so it should be a very lively device.

Also, why are you on probation?!?

Same towers different frequencies. Tmobile actually owns very little towers and uses AT&t's and other companies.

Except that where AT&T might have 4 towers, only 2 of them will be leased out to T-Mobile, and they're often limited to EDGE only. Also, there are areas where T-Mobile may have towers where AT&T doesn't, and even towers that it leases to AT&T.

I'm on probation because I defended myself from being harrassed through pm. Instead of reporting him I cursed him off and he reported me. I had 3 points for telling off bkinky

A friend of mine works for ATT. He told me that ATT used to lease a lot of towers from Tmo but discontinued the lease not long ago. When my local cells went down for 20 days Tmo told me to switch the carrier to ATT. That didn't work.
Since most phones will roam to most cells it would be obvious that the cells use all the frequencies for most all the carriers.

So I'm guessing that the towers are no longer shared. I wonder why they stopped the roaming agreement that seemed beneficial to both?
