Help Media transfer issues

i tried a search couldn't really find any info, so any ways

my sister got a Continuum, she owns a macbook pro laptop. when ever she tries to connect the phone to the laptop to xfer her music it says the device is unreadable, so we decided to connect the laptop and the phone via bluetooth to send files that way, and it says the device (continuum) does not support the required service.

how do you guys go about getting music onto this phone?
