Reliable weather app?

I use beautiful widgets weather and accuweather for the info provider for basic wx. when there is actually "weather" to be aware of i use an app called "radar now" and make my own calls. You can also bookmark your location using the weather channels weather.com and get info there. I dont need alerts unless its duck and cover time.

I like beautiful widgets with the option that's not weather channel. The apps that use weather channel usually give a seven day forecast as opposed to a 3 day forecast, but the weather channel is so inaccurate it changes the daily forecast every 15 mins. The other day in an hours time the high went from 62 down to 50.

Weather Bug.
I HATE the Weather Channel. They changed their "priorities" over the years. instead of providing weather they have moved to showing you what the weather was 20 years ago, harped on "Global Warming" and ALWAYS put snow in the forecast to keep you checking on them for updates. Sorry, I'm no lemming!

Rant mode off!

The news and weather widget is blur and uses the weather channel data and its never right, the forcast changes every 15 mins for that day. It has a 7 day forcast but its useless because its always wrong. The google data is much more accurate

I think that you are referencing the old version. The version that I am referring to came with my first Droid and was ASOP. It initially wasn't available with the DX but was re-released with the 2.2 update.

But, you're right in that it is powered by Weather Channel.

i use weather bug elite and beautiful widgets paired with accuweather. it does seem that weather bug has not been updating regularly which is a pain but I don't have a widget for it so it doesn't bother me.
I've set BW so that the associated weather app is weatherbug. so when i touch the BW weather icon under my clock, it takes me to the accuweather animated BW weather screen, then if I tap on the 5 day forcast, it launches weatherbug which then automatically updates.
I also have my BW set to update on wake which seems to work most of the time.

Well, I am a weather nut, do storm spotting and chasing and this is an issue I dealt with for years on various phones. After putting most of the apps to test, It has come down to WeatherBug Elite and MyCast Weather (paid version) with the additional lightning plug in. If you are looking for just forecast and temp, then some of the others mentioned will probably work for you. But I need serious weather apps.
