Yeah things change fast for good or for.bad......really for me youtube and streaming aren't huge....just adb in android and mass storage and im sold...,so we ll see when we get that.

I was really missing my BT today and then I was at an event I was like damn I dont have my camera and double damn my SF doesnt either. Right this second Im actually considering back to 2.1. Its really a question of what can I do on 2.2 I cannot on 2.1 and what do I wanna do on 2.1 I cannot on 2.2 right now. I mean lets admit its 10 minutes for me to get back to a working 2.1 and another ten if jt or kaos give me working camera and BT tomorrow to reflash back so why the heck not

Well Im back on 2.1. I did a week without BT camera and mms; never again. 2.2 is great but I need to much without it. No more 2.2 for me till those 3 are working 100%

Yeah, you have to weight the pros and cons of the current 2.2 roms and whether is worth trading in a working camera, mass storage, mms and the like. Like I said, I'll probably wait until some of the stuff is fixed before switching since I'm content with the OTB voodoo kernels for now :cool:

I'm new to forums in general so I'm not sure how to find existing posts on this if they exist.
I'm wondering though if anyone has heard about a way to install a front facing camera in the Fascinate? I see a lot of info on how to do it with the Vibrant, and some of the posts I've read have implied that you can do it with other Galaxy S phones. I cant, however, find any info on performing this mod on the Fascinate...

Any info on this would be much appreciated.

i dont have an exact posts to point you toward, but i believe that it was determined the cdma verizon fascinate cannot support a ffc hack like the vibrant...i dont remember who tore the phone down to look, but i do recall it was deemed either impossible or significantly harder than the vibrant

so unless someone randomly figured it out and did it and avoided every android forum, it hasnt been done, let alone a tutorial one it :eek:

Not quite, its just that as soon as I was back to 2.1 I listened to my espn radio, watched some you tube and made a BT call. Plus I received a MMS shortly there after. Those kinds of functions trump 2.2 for me. Obviously Im not anti-2.2 since I ran it a full week. I am however pro-everything works

Other than the obvious that I've posted earlier..the mms holds me back also I'm subscribed to a few things that come in daily through mms.

I don't know how 2.2 will be but I'm already frustrated with the gps on 2.1 (DL09). Drove 3 hours today to Youngstown, OH and GPS was fine on the way there. Coming back, GPS didn't lock for about 30 minutes! At least I was able to use the navigation list but turn by turn didn't work. I rebooted (as a last ditch effort to get it working) and it came up within 2-3 minutes. I'm heading to Vegas in the morning and I hope it works decently there. I'm really glad I haven't been dealing with this since September!

As for the Super Bowl...I think it will be a good match-up. Anything is better than 49ers vs. Denver back in the 80's LOL!

Growing up I was a Browns fan (until they ousted Kosar and the Cowboys picked him up)...so I've never had much love for Denver. Yeah Redskin fan here myself so it seems we all have dogs this year

I thought that 2nd game was done at half time, but what a comeback. Actually both games had endings which mandated watching till the end.
So whenever nitsuj17 gets in here he doesnt need to hang his head low, that was a nice effort till the end [all be it not so much in the beginning].

Hey guys just wanted to let you know I have forgot about this place. New job is taking time to get used to. I was mislead but trying to hang in there and see if I can make it work out. I'm trying to keep up with everything I just don't really have time to post as much.

Poking my head back in to let everyone know I'm still alive.

Almost finished recuperating from the Great Pneumonia Episode of 2010... hubby is cleared to go back to work on Monday. Not bad for a guy who was within hours of death on Christmas Eve. It's been a crazy month, and a struggle for both of us, but he's doing great and just got a clean bill of health from his doctor and surgeon today. Woo!

I'll probably be spending more time here once he goes back to work and I'm less distracted.
