Things that you wish you could do with your Incredible

-

- Be able to set the default reminder to "none" on events in the calendar (this is an option on my laptop but not the phone....

Just asking, but you have pulled down on the pop-up menu. It sounds pike you're staying pretty stock, and the stock Google calendar does along with a five minute option if you pull down.

If you're not using stock try making your default alert sound to silent. Then within each app set a ringtone when you want an alert.

I'm an Audiogalaxy user as well....and I have to admit it is an amazing app....and entirely FREE. It works for Android and iPhones alike. Therefore, I have given my login credentials to my friends with Either an iPhone or Android phone. They can all listen to my ENTIRE music collection on their phones (100+ GB library). Since I'm a big audiophile, my friends love to be instantly updated with my latest music findings....I am also able to push playlists to them since Audiogalaxy supports playlists.

Can we be friends?

Ha don't hate me for saying it, but I'd take a keyboard. The Droid 2 wasn't good enough in my opinion. But android was made for keyboards. It still shows. I'd also like my 8mp camera to take decent photos. I'd wish the GPU wasn't a piece of crap. Actually I'd like my incredible up transform into a palm pre 2 on Verizon.

Sounds like you need a Droid Pro. not my cup of tea as HTC is my way of life.

I can change the alarm to none but I can't make it the default on my phone like I can on the desktop.

I don't understand why you can set the default to anything but none on the phone?

But, the only folders I know how to make are the ones on the home screens - Which by the way, would be nice to be able to rename.

When you open the folder on your homescreen, tap the existing folder name (idk what the default name is... probably just "folder") and your keyboard will pop up and you can rename the folder anything you please.

However, I like simifolder (idk if there is a space in between "simi" and "folder") from the market better. Looks a little more sleek and matches my theme better than the ancient-looking default folder option.

I wish I could go a full day without the battery dying without having to buy a battery that makes my phone thicker. I also wish that youtube worked properly, and that favorites were stored on the SD card or something automatically. I also wish that the screen didn't scratch so easily. I think that a phone should work out of the box, and that you shouldn't have to buy a bunch of accessories to make it functional.

That has not been my experience at all. Have you tried the 1800 mAh battery?

Give juice defender a try, I can make it all day with the stock battery, root helps jd do a better job at saving battery life also.

dolphin HD browser allows you to do this. But i agree, wish it did it on its own.

Oh, I wish mine would double as a stun gun, Swiss Army knife, and particle transport device - beam me up, Scotty!:D

Seriously though, I'm with Techobsessive on the real, tactile keyboard - you shouldn't need to look at your keypresses, and when it's real you don't need to and your speed flies. As for Palm, I played with a freind's recently, which has the same keyboard of the one which I returned because I could afford something with lots of memory, processing power, ready to support video and lots of storage, plus it didn't look so ugly with plastic, all of which seemed more important at the time. But I really miss 1. how nicely the Palm keyboard works, and 2. how the Palm OS supports desktop-like task-switching with "card" icon images for every running process, which can be switched to by clicking on them, or killed by "flicking" them off the table. It's not only fun, but it's a more convenient way of multitasking than the way Android handles it. It works for all desktop systems, and it works for Palm, so (unless you follow the Google shill boys who tell you you're too stupid to decide which apps to kill so don't ever use a task killer) it should be part of the Android system too. There were some great ideas behind Palm products and their OS, but unfortunately Google and Apple got all the marketing geniouses.

Battery is unacceptable.
150 mb app limit is unacceptable.

My blackberry had an audio, video, picture folders. Should be easy enough to sort based on file type. On Android, each app has it's own folder. They should organize it so audio apps open up subfolders on the main audio folder and the same with vid and pics. Zedge could have a folder under audio>ringtones>zedge as well as images>wallpapers>zedge. Something like that.
