I put my sd card into the laptop memory card slot as the instructions said on copilots website then downloaded it onto my sd card .

I can see the 2 folders on my sd card when i connect it via the date cable , one folder called " copilot " and the second folder called " 2577 " .

The instructions say i should click on " autorun " in the 2577 folder and it should install . When i do this i get an error message saying that its not a valid win32 application . I'm doing all this via the data cable as i don't have a clue how to access the sd card directly on my phone .

I'm gettin a bit frustrated now . Any help on accessing the folders and installation file on my sd card would be much appreciated .

What am i doing wrong ?

I also have exactly the same problem. I can see the same 2 folders when i browse the sd card thru my PC but when I try to go to SD card thru 'manage applications' nothing comes up. I also tried to search for the app "Please either let me know the step by step instructions on how to transfer pc download to phone and run the installation" from the market but nothing comes up.

i've downloaded Copilot 8.2.0.218

going through the setup but get maps to D/L i'm using the following method but there are no maps after step 6

1) Copy the .apk to device and install using a file manager or use HTC Sync

2) Once installed run copilot and follow the setup until the end key screen appears

3) use the following key to register

4) Straight after an online registration page apears, click the X button at the bottom of the screen to exit copilot,
DO NOT REGISTER!!

5) Copy you map file into F:\copilot\save (F is the letter of the SDcard it can be different for you)

6) Copilot will install the maps
