I just checked and mine was not auto syncing my gmail either. i go to settings and account sync and it says it is set to auto sync, but when i first opened the gmail account it said it was not set up. Tried turning auto sync off then back on and did a reboot but still no emails until i manual sync.

You have to go into the settings, accounts and sync. Then click on the gmail account that is listed under manage settings. You will see three boxes. Sync contacts, sync calendar, and sync gmail. Make sure gmail is checked.

Mine would not sync either, with all 3 checked. I unchecked/rechecked, rebooted, etc. and nothing worked. I then sent myself an email and manually synced it, THEN I got it working...not sure if it's back to auto-sync yet or not.

Hmm.. all 3 boxes were checked, so i un-checked the gmail one. backed out to my home screen, went back into settings and checked the box again. That still did not sync it so i rebooted and sent another test email to my gmail and it seems to sync now... random but it works now so thats all that matters.

can anyone hook me up with a mirror to their download?

im downloading it directly from the UD website but when I try to install the file in recovery the install fails when it is trying to open the file. It says the file is bad

Are you talking about UD3.0? I thought this rom only goes to 800....how do you get higher on this rom?

sorry been busy at work...I obviously tried unchecking and rechecking the gmail sync boxes to no avail earlier.

so, I decided to leave them unchecked, reboot the phone, then recheck them and all is good (for now at least)

ok so it isn't working again...I have to open gmail and manually refresh for any new messages to appear... w-t-f?

HOWEVER, I'm still hoping to hear someone give me advice on this GoogleTalk bs that is going on with me. I have a permanent exclamation point in my notifications panel for 'authentication failed' which I NEED to get rid of. Any help is appreciated!

If you restored Talk w/ TiBu you will have this problem. From what I've read over at the UD forums you should not restore any system apps like Talk, Market, etc.

I had the same problem going on with the authentication failed; luckily I made a nandroid backup after installing and letting the apps restore through the market and prior to restoring apps with TiBu. I restored to that backup and used TiBu for only non-system apps and I haven't had an issue since.

IIRC I read that you can dump your old texts and phone calls over from a specific file(s) just by using root explorer but that is foreign to me. I didn't have any texts or phone logs I couldn't live without.

I had this authentication issue before but not on a gingerbread ROM (it was my gtablet).

Settings>applications>Manageapplications>all

I cleared the data from my market app...opened the market...and it prompted me to accept the terms and conditions. After that, my google talk, gmail and all other gapps started working.

lmao...ok I spoke too soon - I just reboot the phone and the issue is back and I went to clear the market data, but the option is grayed out...

Awww man! Go break your gtalk again. haha. Maybe mine will break and I can try my own fix. If not, I'll try your fix and reinstall the whole thing.

I'm gonna load this ROM up now. This will be my first Gingerbread ROM.

Anyone having problems with Pandora and/or Winamp? Music will start playing but after a min (if that), it'll just stop. To get it playing in Pandora again, I have to bring it back into focus, let it do it's loading thing and then it will start playing a new song...which will often stop playing shortly again too.

I am having problems with ADWLauncher always having to reload everytime I leave the launcher and come back. Is this something to do with the ROM or is there a setting that I am missing in ADW? This is my first time using ADW.

Also, since I am posting. I have not been able to get the market to give me an update notification in the status bar for quite some time and I do have the notify me option checked. Not sure what's wrong. It is not really that big of deal, but it had been bugging me I cant get it to work.

Pandora works fine for me - the only thing I seem to be having an issue with, and it's minor - is that the auto-rotate screen orientation setting doesn't seem to work on the home screen. Apps don't seem to be affected.

Noooo! No more DROIIIID text and email notification!

I made a notifications folder my sdcard and put the droid sound on it and it does show up, but an hour later it magically disappears from my notifications list on my phone...i named it as an .ogg file, .mp3 file, and even a .wav file. Does anyone know whats going on?

anyone else getting more dropped calls than usual?

I'm getting this with PowerAmp, as well. I thought it was android being more aggressive than usual with the task-killing, but I'm unsure. Based on your post, it looks like it's happening with other media players, too, though.

Dumb question im sure but, do i have to do any ota updates or anything to install this rom? I got Android Version 2.2.1 baseband version C_01.4301P and build FRG22D. I'm running 2.1.0 obviously rooted. But do i need the gingerbread update or if i wipe and install this new UD will it update to gingerbread or do you not actually need the real gingerbread to run it? I have been outta the rom game for a bit because i love UD so much i didnt wannt change it, but the new one sounds awesome and i really wanna give it a whirl.

Use ROM manager or clockworkmod to flash the ROM, nothing else is needed. It's probably a good idea to make a backup of your current ROM, though.

Have had the rom loaded for about 18 hours now, still on my initial charge with the battery sitting at about 20% now. I took launcher pro and widget locker off and that helped any lag issues i was having w/ the home screen/unlock. The only problem i have now is that when i hit my home key when coming from an app or from the dock screen it opens direcly into the app drawer and not the home screen, and it's usually pretty laggy to load. Other than that, no issues with camera, ads, pandora or the like. Thanks for all the hard work on this rom.
