whats the deal with swype?

I had swype... now it says trial is over. is there only a beta still?

OK im looking for another download... I dont even see it in the market? where do I get it.

I found it on brothersoft site but after I transfered it to my phone I couldnt figure out how to put it on.

anyone link me to the download? install instructions? I know its on here but I couldnt find it anymore

I just went through this exact thing.

I updated my X10 (Rogers) and then Swype said it was expired. I googled Swype Android and found a site that has the beta open. You register (with your google email address) they send you a confirmation email and then they send you a link to download the Swype installer and Swype keyboard. It installs itself, just follow the instructions. It worked just fine

Make sure you uninstall the old Swype first and make sure your phone is set to allow 3rd party apps to be downloaded.

not sure, but it will notify you when there is a new version to update. So until they release it for good into the market, it works fine. Did you just update to the multi touch release that came to ROgers this week? I think that is what triggered mine expiring.

I see you are rooted so I am not sure. I am not rooted so it recognized me as rogers and the update was available in SEUS.

ok cant find it. there was a 8.64mb file i have had that has been needed to be downloaded for the last month in my notification bar. I tried DL ing that and no Multi touch... hmmmmm. im lost

What version of software are you running?

Settings > about phone >

Baseband version 2.1.55
Kernel version 2.6.29

This is the version I downloaded last week from SEUS.
