It's odd. I used to get around 30 Mb/s upload when I was running Vista, now I'm on Win 7 and get this.

 With Optimum Online?!

That's a little lower than I was thinking it would be, but we've also got 3 wireless XBox's, 2 wireless desktops, 3 laptops, 1 wired desktop, and a Wii all hooked up to the same router. Granted they're not ALL on right now, but still.

Yeppers w/ Cablevision. Who knew? Lol. We've got 4 laptops, 1 wired desktop, 2 wireless 360's, 1 wired 360, and my Airave all connected to my Linksys E2000.

Jeez, this thread just made me wicked depressed haha. I thought my speed was good. I just tested and it's 9 down and 8 up. Well below half what the average is for comcast. I'm not profecient with this stuff. Is there anything I can do to speed this up myself? (other than switching isp's)

It all depends on the pipe you pay for. If you are paying for 10 mb then you obviously aren't going to get more.

I'm paying for 8MB, my exchange is apparently capable of 7MB. I know BT come in for some flack, but I've only been with them for a month or so and I'm getting at least 1-1.5MB over my previous ISP, plusnet. Upload has almost trebled too.

For my area (Scottish Highlands), that's actually not that bad.

Pingtest is also pretty good -
