I have an OB commuter for my current phone and the edges are like rubbery and it makes it hard to get my phone in and out of jeans. So is the silicone on the Tough Case like rubbery or is it more smooth?

the outer shell is more of a hard plastic but I wouldn't call it smooth, its textured for grip, grip in your hand that is, but it slides in and out of my pockets just fine, it doesn't grip or stick on clothing.

It's barely to find the comparison of Otterbox Defender Series vs. Case Mate Tough Case.
You can find a lot of people talk about Otterbox commuter v.s Case Mate Tough Case, but not for Otterbox Defender.
I also noticed that many people said, Case Mate Tough Case is great. I agree with it. I think it might be one of the best case for indoor protection, but I don't agree some people said Case Mate Tough is the rule.(You can see the video and know why I say this.)
Actually, my favourite is Griffin.

My wife's Seidio just broke last night. Maybe I will pick up the Cast Mate. Was thinking Otterbox but after reading this thread changed my mind.
