Help Inspite issues

I'm having an issue with contacts/people. I'm syncing my Gmail account and my Exchange account.

When I go to "people" I don't see all of the contacts. I only see my regular contacts from Gmail (not all of my contacts) and nothing from Exchange. However, when I go to company directory I can search for the Exchange contacts.

How do I see ALL of my contacts?

I just set that up and it works fine, however, while it adds the pattern pw, it retains the pull-down unlock. Are we stuck with that or is there a why around it?

I'm having the same problem as you. I recorded a pattern through security settings and I'm still getting the drag to unlock screen. Also is anyone else having problems with their voicemail, I'm getting a busy tone everytime I try to call it. Any help would be appreciated.

My phone is actually powered down right now, so I can't check this myself, but the HTC help page says you can create your own Scene. Maybe there's other docks in that? I know the ones already on the phone have some different styles.

Scenes are pre-set home screen configurations that can be accessed from the home screen by pressing Menu>Scenes. Each scene has its own style/layout. You can use either the preconfigured Scenes or create one of your own.

To create your own custom scenes, select your wallpaper, widgets, shortcuts, etc. Once you have everything configured, to save the style, press Menu>Scenes>ensure that Current (unsaved) is selected and touch Save. At this point you can name your scene and then press Done to save it. Once saved, this Scene will be listed among the preconfigured Scenes for selection.

Please Note that there is not an option to save alert tones (ring, sms, etc) as part of the Scene.

This is weird. When I go into the Market and look at the Top Free apps, Gmail is at the top stating "Free" rather than "Installed". When I click on My Apps in the Market, Gmail isn't listed.

Yet, it came pre-installed (and it's the same, current version).

I'm not sure how I'll get an updates if the market doesn't even think I have it installed?

And, you can't uninstall the version installed on the phone in order to install the market one.

Is this just me?

I read this in another thread, about how the ATT clerk made sure the customer had this magic... thing:

What exactly is that? I think I have one too, which came on a card inside the box, but what do you do with it? That is, I already have a data SIM card in the phone... what's the other one for?

That was me that posted that. Sorry for the late response but I haven't had much free time. The at&t employee that did the activation for me said that they had an e-mail that morning that said both sim cards would work the same. They went ahead and put a new one in mine to be on the safe side. My guess is that the cards are the same as the "3g" cards, the only difference is the new ones simply have "4g" printed on them. Probably so that when a new customer walks in and buys a 4G device and then later they get home and see that the sim card says 3G, the store won't have to deal with explaining the whole 4g is hspa+ which actually runs on 3g network yadada. So that is just my thought. Just keeping the products image (sim card in this case) up to date with the devices they belong with.

hi everyone! i don't have my quick start guide with me (the one that came with the phone) but does anyone know what that round, led looking dot on the top front of the phone, on the right of the wired stainless steel for the speaker? i know it's not the led light because i see it when you're charging the phone it's located underneath the wire and on the left. is that supposed to be a sensor?

somebody just posted this same question on another thread and it answered my question! it's a proximity/light sensor, just in case someone else is wondering and hasn't stumbled on the other thread.

also, i posted this question on another thread but maybe this is a more appropriate one: can anyone tell me the difference between up time and awake time? i tried to search for it but couldn't find anything that actually describes what they mean. people would talk about it as percentage but it's formatted xx:xx:xx. i hope someone can explain it to me.

now, this i still can't find an answer. hopefully someone can point me to the right direction.

I want to setup my yahoo mail with the phones email. I already setup my gmail account in it. But I cannot get the yahoo mail to work. I've used these settings I found in another posts.

Incoming
Protocol: IMAP
IMAP Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Security: None
Server port: 143

Outgoing
Check Login required
SMTP Server: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Server Port: 25

I don't know if you figured out yet but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in. Make sure your wifi is OFF while setting up IMAP or it will not work.

I just wanted to add that turning Wifi off DOES indeed work and when I tried it, I did not use the manual set up and it still worked fine.

When I unlock my phone, the clock widget seems to always update itself by flipping and it is always exactly 1 hour 2 minutes behind my time when it flips. Does anyone else do this, is that just the way it is or is there a setting I need to check.

Watched some Youtube vids and theirs did it also, have to watch closely when they unlock but their clock widget updates too and it was 1 hour 2 minutes then it flips as soon as they unlock, odd for it to do that but at least it's not just mine LOL!!

yes, it's an animation feature!!

wait I think I figured it out, the way I was holding the phone, I was touching the edges. I noticed it doesn't let you touch the screen in 2 places at once, therefore it wasn't allowing me to press the keys. At least I hope that's it.

getting a case will most likely prevent this, as you have more to hold on to, and your fingers won't wrap around the front!

Does sense have a recurring reminder for missed emails, calls, calendar events, etc?

When you snooze a calendar event, when does it pop up again?

Not a question but i cannot believe i could not add Santa Barbara to the weather widget.

I dont like for my phone to make noise most of the time so i cant help you with sounds but i do find that EVERYTHING is always up at the notification bar at the top of my phone. I pull it out..check there first, see whos messaged or called and clear it every time i check my phone.
