How is it that Xoom, software by Google is missing a search button? It is so vital within Android and I use it daily for search, voice commands... I hope they will make it a long press on one of the soft keys soon. I don't want to go to the search widget each time. Rrrrrrr! I guess that's the price of jumping on a ship half built! Otherwise, loving the tablet! One other miss... what's up with no picasa syncing? WTF?

i see a google search on the home screen as well as the microphone for voice search... what are you looking at?

I know there's a widget, I'm looking for a button that you can access from any page or app just like you can on the Android phone. Sometimes you just need to search from all areas.

Google very intentionally left this out of Honeycomb. It is by design. They went for a very minimalistic approach.
I suggest you direct your comment to official google android forums. Seriously
