I downloaded a nice battery widget from HTC. It is a 1x1 animated widget showing percentage of battery life. When you click it, it pops of this window with more interesting information:

Battery life is totally unaffected by it.. I like knowing how much juice I'm using each day. I'm noticing a 3% per hour battery drain with all my widgets running and updating.
