Thunderbolt Launch Day Speculation/Rumor Thread

This is great news if it took 70% of Batt. life over an 8hrs span... that's better than my Imagio..

Only downside to that is thats just with 3G, 4G will likely eat more battery
and I think the battery he mentions last as long as his Droid X does
not sure if it was moderate or standby usage though

I can say that with heavy usage on my Incredible, i use it from 4am to around 8-9am and its already down to 20% (heavy usage = streaming music from Sirius or my home PC using Audio Galaxy THE entire time)

well im with AT&T rite now contract is up next month..dunno what to get tired of waitin on this TB phone..what about dx? lol

You have waited this long, wait a tad longer, before you make a choice you will regret. DX is fine if you like Blur, if ur in a LTE market, not sure why your willing to settle for a lower end out dated phone already?

for those wondering yes i refuse to use the term 4G its not 4g its just LTE at best or 3.5G

bennnnnnnnnnnnnn seemed to indicate that that phone he was playing with had Netflix running on it. Mark my words, phones will need Gingerbread before they're allowed to run Netflix (and Playstaiton Suite, and Google Music, and OnLive, and probably Skype with working videocalling). Since it seems as if the phone is still launching with 2.2.1, I would say he's telling a tall tale or two.

You are correct :) Gingerbread plus DRM protection built into chip, equals Netflix app for Android :) Do NOT doubt me on this  :)

He gave an impression that the SIM card was the holdup - he didn't know that, so that's how that rumor started.

According to PhoneArena.com, the dimensions and weight are on par with the Evo - but HTC's site hasn't confirmed those specs. So - the idea that it might be huge compared to an Evo might or might not be true.

He didn't like the camera - no HTC camera works well with the stock settings, they do benefit greatly from setup changes from default.

He didn't answer if the kickstand was aluminum - the Evo kickstand was specifically non-magnetic to avoid antenna interference - assume same for the Bolt.

The Evo has a hidden, second LED under the grill that's not used, but was unleashed by an XDA dev. It was originally for 4G - he's not in a 4G area, so the Bolt might have that second LED.

The Evo's LED responds to Handcent options for color notifications - can't imagine HTC changing that circuit for any reason.

That's it for my 2 cents. :)
