OK, so I d/l'ed the Vignette Demo and what a difference. It must be the camera app. I took two indoor pictures with flash, adjusting for fluorescent lighting in Vignette (@.3 MP only). Guess which one was with the default camera app.

What is crazy is how different the flash is, must have to do with shutter speed, ISO???
Yeah, Vignette seems to be a better job, and that's even with the really restricted image sizes in the demo version. I'm tempted to spring for the pay version (~$4) or if there's another pay camera app that would add some additional camera control[?]
