I have a Best Buy question. In the past I have always purchased my phones through Verizon, and if I had a problem with the phone in the first year, Verizon would send me a replacement. If I buy a phone via Best Buy, will Verizon still replace it if I have an issue, or will Best Buy? Or even worse, will I have to go through HTC? Does anyone have experience with this issue?

It's the manufacturers warranty that comes with most phones. You should get the same exact warranty, but you will just have to go through BB to use it. Verizon will still take care of your phone problems but bestbuy warranties your purchase for 30 days. If either of them give you a problem, you can just go directly to HTC.

To confirm, if you buy from BB, you can no longer go to Verizon with phone issues? I used to call Verizon for issues with my Storm/Storm 2 and they never hesitated to replace.

To: All who pre-order at Best Buy

Time to get your money back. Looks Thunderbolt isn't coming in the near future. Verizon CTO: We're working through LTE smartphone issues | ZDNet

Saw this floating around yesterday. Not really sure what to think about it. Sure they can wait as long as they want to release the phone, but if the Evo 3d releases first, they might as well not even bother. This phone, while great, is on the border of older technology. All indications are that the Evo 3d will blow it out of the water. Verizon would have to feel lucky for customers to buy it at a $99 price point, much less $299.

So if Verizon CTO Tony Melone is right, the LTE phones are coming during the 1st half of the year because of issues with the LTE network currently. So much for that!

Addendum: What's up with Black Man X claiming that he's been saying March 17th release all along? If the Thunderbolt is released on the 17th, I'll give him some props. However, if it isn't, after he said "everything is a go" but now Verizon brass is contradicting his Thunderbolt is a go claim, I'm curious to see how BMX is going to weasel his way out of the 17th date and backtrack. No mas trolls!

FWIW: I went in to the BB store last night to talk to the store manager about my phone situation (my 30 day exchange window is over on the 14th) and we went over to the mobile department to go over the options (he didn't know some of the complexities of the mobile dept.). The BB computer still shows it for a 3/10 in store date and we (the mobile associate and I) explained to him how it keeps getting pushed back... blah, blah blah. He understood the push backs and specifically said that they were directed not to put out any ad retractions for the TB in the store this week. We left it that if it does not come it on the 10th to come back in and we will work something out. Most likely waiting and using the buy back and a discount to make it the same price as the $250 pre-sale. We will see!

Another FWIW: I call #611 to ask what torture would be inflicted upon me if I just returned the iPhone4 to BB. (History: pre-order 2/9/11, Dinc: 2/13/11, exchanged Dinc for iPhone4 2/23/11) I was suprised to hear them say return the phone to BB activate your old phone on that line and when the TB is available we will honor your upgrade discount. Hmmm... That just might be the way to go at this point. Thoughts anyone?

But I would have to get it through VZW not BB.

Never said a date, but I've heard anything from end of April, to June for the Bionic, so who knows.

It's fair to say that if the delay is because of lte, then all the 4g phones will be pushed back until it is fixed. I'm about done waiting on this. I'm giving them till end of the week. If no announcement then I'm taking this dinc back and will suffer through my envy touch a few more months. No since in wasting an ugrade on a year old phone.
