Help No signal at all!

Hi everyone! I've just joined the forum. I have a problem with my htc desire and if anyone could help I'd be really grateful!

I've had my desire for about 3months now and we were getting along fine until a few days ago! Just for reference, I bought it from someone who had received it on contract with orange and payed to get it unlocked so I could use it with my asda mobile sim card. I have the latest android version.

My problem is that since monday afternoon I have no signal on my phone whatsoever. It permanently says emergency calls only. The sim card shows fine signal in another phone so it is a problem with my phone and not the sim or network. I have tried turning my phone off and on, travelling to different areas, and factory reseting the phone all to no avail.

Hope this post is in the right place. I've googled the problem and come up with ppl having bad signal, but I have none at all and I can't find any solutions. Thanks!

Have you a different sim to check in the desire? Preferably Orange, but not essential.

I'm wondering if perhaps it has become sim locked again.

There is a utility now that unlocks HT desires, so no need to pay extra anymore, but need to isolate the problem before hand.

Arent orange pay and go sims free now.?

If it is running on Orange software still, I would suggest contact HTC for a warranty repair (or at least some technical support)

Hi, thanks for your help. I sent my phone off to htc to be repaired. It's now come back but its sim locked to orange again. When I first got my phone I payed

Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to this kind of thing! How do I 'Burn the iso, boot it' ? I've got the iso file on my computer. I get how to power on my phone into HBOOT, that's it!

Basically you need a CD burning application that will specifically burn .iso (cd image files) to CD (rather than just writing it as data). Then you turn your computer off and turn it on with the CD in so it boots to CD instead of hard drive.

Thanks I did google it and couldn't find any good software! In the end I discovered I didn't need any, I just used disk utility on my mac and managed to burn the iso file. HTC have fixed my initial problem too. That was all quick and easy, I recommend anyone who as problems to contact HTC, they're very helpful. It's so great to have my phone back. Thankyouu!
