[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

Black_Man_X

Nothing really new to report. Hence the reason that its quiet.... Ipad launch isnt really that much of a factor when it comes to the thunderbolts... interesting launch particulars.

But like they said.. Quiet before the Storm.. now if its a good storm or a Sh*t storm.. thats remains to be seen..

Sounds like another rinse and repeat cycle starting from our "inside" sources ;)

At least within the next two months, they will eventually be "correct" :)

Go Cats! :eek::)

Off to bed.

They updated the article that the tweet is gone. This also sinks it as BS for me as far as the "conditional approval" article: The term "one of our trusted sources"

If ain't from VZW and published, it ain't nuttin'. :)

BTW, I called a few VZW stores and that memo floating around is pure and utter BS. They know nuttin' and have checked their product update emails from corporate.

One of their memos DID have that iPad2 was launching today ;)

Right, so VZW telling you they know nothing of a product that has yet to be officially announced seems fine?

They are NOT supposed to confirm or deny ANYTHING. that doesn't mean that all stores will follow that rule, but don't buy it as conclusive. Because a store did what they were supposed to do--deny rumors of an unreleased product.

My "source" who told me the 17th was the launch date back on March 3rd just sent me a text. March 17th launch date has been pulled. Interpret that however you will, disappointing to hear that it may be even later. He gave no confirmed rescheduled launch date.

No offense to you or your source, but I'm done listening to "sources". Just today we have to reasons to believe that it is out the 17th (htc facebook coming soon & htc employee tweet) & then we get another "source" saying that it has been pulled.

It's like a balancing act for them. X sources for date Z + Y sources against date Z = 50% certainty of date Z.

I think I'll only check in now to see if Verizon, BBY, or HTC OFFICIALLY announces a date. This has got me so in knots that when I saw a story about the Incredible 2 in the wild I gave serious thought to just waiting and going with that. They can keep this up to build hype but at some point the hype starts to wane & actually sours people on the thing they're trying to hype. At this point I'm about 65% with staying with the Tbolt & that figure is dropping each day.

Dang, even Phandroid is helping to perpetuate rube's who disseminate false info. The rube's tweet was pulled, the product update "memo" was apparently fake (no store knows of it) and every other nugget of info gold has turned out to be pyrite.

Come on Phandroid- you folks are better than the others :)

As someone else suggested, official policy is to not comment on "rumored" devices. If that memo is official, then store employees are not to comment on it.

That said, you could still be right.
