Good day.

I have recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Ace.

I usually use my Audio Technica earphones for music listening but after ending a call the music resumes...the sound is distorted. I have to wait afew minutes before it goes back to normal.

This happens when i use my Creative earphones as well.

I have got the phone replaced and this issue still is not resolved. Could this be a hradware/software or compatibility issue ?

Anyone else facing the same problem ? I did not use the stock earpiece...i mean lets face it...the music quality is crap on that but shouldnt all earphones which support 3.5MM work on it ?

Cheers
Kelvin

I have also tried using the stock samsung earpiece that came with the phone. It also has the same problem.

I can now confirm that the phone itself is malfunctioned. I even got it replaced with a new set. I hope this can be resolved with a update.

Anyone else facing the same problem or is it just unlucky me to get 2 faulty sets ?

Hi, I got my Galaxy S last week - tried the Samsung earphones that came with it and could get music but no singing, barely there music and singing or just nothing at all which was so annoying. My Sennheiser earphones I use with my ipod wouldn't work either so I tried a pair of Philips plain and simple earphones for any stereo and they are fine - they are just the ones with the 2 rings on them rather than the 3 rings the samsung ones are supplied with. Everything sounds great now but think I might email Samsung and tell them something isn't right and try to get them to replace the earphones. Seems to be a common problem from what I can see on the internet - I don't know the serial number for the philips ones i have but they literally are just plain earphones not the ones that go inside the ear just normal ones. I did think it was really strange that my Sennheiser ones didn't work but nevermind. Will let you know what Samsung say when I email them.

Hi again, after putting the Philips earphones in the jack fully and listening to music I tried the Samsung ones again and somehow they are now perfect!!! Maybe a problem with the jack, not sure. I found a pair on ebay exactly the same as mine, I'm not suggesting you buy them but I couldn't find a picture anywhere else so at least they will give you an idea.

Hi Kevin

I also have problems with my Galaxy Ace (Dutch).

It comes with no earpiece in the package. Works fine with regular earphones (3pin 3.5mm jack). Once I switch to headset (4pin 3.5mm jack) then the sound comes distorted & mono.

I purchased from Samsung Online Shop the : EHS60ENNWEC, EHS48ESOM, EHS48ES0MECSTD and AAEP433 + AARM040EBE headphones however none is working properly with my phone.

The last month I haven't stop exchanging e-mails with the Samsung customer care but they can't help me since they say they don't have a device to verify that indeed the headphones are incompatible with my device. They claim that they should work with my phone.

I am going to send the device to the service soon

Cheers
