Verizon iPhone: How Will It Affect Android?

Well I am not getting an iPhone because of the experience I have had with the Apple Store concerning "issues" I had with my 5 Ipod Touches. My wife is on her 3rd Touch in as many years. They all break and can not be fixed. They offer a 10% discount if you get another one.

I have 3 broken ones here on my desk. One does not play music at all with the head phones, one has no WIFI and the other one, the oldest, keeps turning itself off. So if the iPhone is like the Touch, I do not want anything to do with it and I sure do not like the Apple Store.

Hell if I based my customer service experiences off of what products I used I would've left Sprint after the whole Touch Pro fiasco.

But I don't think the Verizon iPhone will kill Android...it will just deliver a big blow to AT&T. If AT&T survives, it will be because Android saved them.

Which I don't think it will, because as of right now their Android line-up is terrible, and they're hardly advertising. Whereas I see a Verizon iPhone commercial every 10 minutes, and on every channel. I think AT&T will be relying on their west coast customers to keep them going.

West Coast?...I think that's the answer for AT&T! They need a big Android advertising campain with the Atrix and Snoop Dogg. Seriously, who else could have advertised the T-Mobile Sidekick and make that POS a success? :D

If I had an upgrade, I'd get the iphone. I have the Samsung Fascinate now, good phone, great camera, but a lot of lag, no notification led (what the hell are those 2 things next to the ear speaker anyway?!?), and half the time I don't recieve my email and FB alerts, also wish I could control ringer and notification volume at the same time! So I guess I'll wait til my upgrade is due to get the iphone. Plus, VW will have a 4G iphone by then! Can't wait!

Fix the lag, root it. The things next to the speaker are light sensors for when you're on a call. If your head blocks it, it knows to turn the screen off to save on battery. I think that's how auto brightness is determined too.
