Help HTCSense.com...anyone got it ALL working yet?

got a reply from HTC support and the guy from ireland said he'd email me back once they thing full service is back up and running. fair doos...

but!

a random question, do you think we can get any form of compensation from HTC for a lack of service? the HTC sense.com experience was advertised as part of the phone right? So besides hardware, we also bought the online service? i mean its like buying a tv that advertises an ability to access internet, and it cant due to the manufacturers fault?

Oh im ranting, still doesnt detract sense skin still rocks compared to the others out there :)

I was thinking the exact same thing... The site was the final little thing that made me decide to buy the DHD. Now months later it's still not working. I call this misleading marketing and lying to their customers. So why shouldn't we try to ask for some sort of compensation??

I went down this kind of route to get rid of my SGS because that didn't get the 2.2 update after waiting for 3 months. and argue that because the gps didn't work i wasn't getting what i paid for and tmobile eventually sorted it out and i managed to end my contract they even owed me money by the end of it because i claimed for the cost of the calls i made to them!

Maybe we're all about to get the full SENSE after this maintenance, or we'll S**K the big one even more. What do you think?

I had to disable my HTC sync as the HTC Sense:remote process was killing my phone. After looking at the logs, it was failing to connect to the HTC servers... So if I were you, just disable HTC Sense until they fix it... no point to leave it on when it doesn't work

Already disabled! Btw, a friend of mine owns the Desire Z and he's got the same issue with the device. The phone is trying to connect htcsense.com and it blocks as the servers are down.

Website just came back online for me and everything seems to be working... Canada.

Can you please be more specific about what's working??? If you're talking about the location finder, ring option, lock option,... this all worked before! The thing that has never really worked is the menubar with with your friends, contacts, footprints,...

And f#ck, I can't believe it's still not working after their few days of "maintenance".

Sad!

Just checked mate, and the same shit you mentioned, location finder, ring option, lock option seem to be working again as they did before, but thats it, nothing else working for me. What a load of bollocks :mad:

lol i do hope some member of the HTC support team scans these forums, it's geeks like us that got you where you are!!!

but ive given up hope on this for at least a month, end of the day its not life ending, but a service is a service , and they should be providing this....maybe we all should get a petition together? hey, if you dont ask...you dont get right? ;)

Over the past few months HTC has been undertaking an upgrade to HTCSense.com in order to enhance the web experience for our customers, extend service availability and increase service quality and uptime. During this upgrade process some people may experience some fluctuation in the services and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are implementing an update in the next month that should minimize most service problems. Currently, accounts have these main features: find my phone, call and message forwarding and lock and erase my phone. Over the next few months as we complete the upgrade, more features will be added into accounts. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to make the HTCSense.com experience even better.

We hope to have improvements to the service out in the very near future to help some of these issues and we will continue to communicate with our customers throughout the process. Thank you for your patience.

Yes what a load of B******s. I have sent to HTC several emails expressing a disatisfied user and only received the bog standard reply!

Why don't they post a notice or something on their Homapage telling new users and current users that HTCsense is a bit up the duff. Talk about mislead people!!!

Also a tip I just this minute found out, if you are trying to retrieve lost password or Sign Up again the links will appear dead but if you immediately click the refresh on your browser after the click on the link it will take you to the next screen to continue. Now whats that all about!?
