Midnight Ordering On-Line TONIGHT @ vzw.com

this the only email I got besides the confirmation email just after I placed the order, I checked the online order status and it changed to

"Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at www.fedex.com"

Crud, I got the initial order confirmation and now one saying my order is in queue to be processed and my status online still says processing, check back tomorrow.

Antsy as hell and hoping mine changes soon! haha

I just got off the phone with the store. The pricing is reflective of your discounts, etc. The base rate of $249.99 will apply, so generally whatever you see online when you try to upgrade is what you will pay in store. HOWEVER, the csr I spoke with said that in store is NOT ALLOWING THEM TO GIVE 1 YEAR CONTRACTS on the phone in the store as of right now. She said that she had just tried to do it and it would not allow it. So WTF? Is big red backing out on their tweet of at least OFFERING a 1 year deal? I am unable to get the 1 year pricing to go through online as well, so.......

EDIT: I just spoke with a phone order csr and he ALSO CONFIRMED that there is NOT A 1 YEAR CONTRACT PRICE in his system, only a 2 year. I hope that I am not SOL as I am freaking at work until 3 and want to get the damn thing today :mad:...

I was able to go to BJ's and get the 229 1 year contract price....the rep was shocked at the price.

Yea, anyone concerned about the discount that you may receive with employee discount, you should receive them in store as well. I just did.

Here are some tips as one store I went to I had a terrible experience, and another went more smoothly. When you go in, I would not even mention the price. Just walk in and tell them you want the phone upgrade on 1 year contract and be patient while they ring everything up. You can always decline or say something when they give you your total price and ask for payment. If you inquire about the price before that, they may look at you like you're crazy and automatically turn you away, tell you to go order it online. Anyhow, below is a recount of my experience if anyone is interested.

The first store I went to, I mentioned I wanted to upgrade with 1 year contract. As he was processing the order, I asked him if he could verify the price, and he said $319. I said I had a corporate discount on my account and when I checked online the price was $229. He did not believe me and said there is no way that is possible. He said he would try, but then said no way that he was going to giving me that price since it was cheaper than the 2 year. I kept repeating that this was the price with corporate discount, yet he told me that even online it was going to kick the price back up once I got to the final page. He said if thats what I want, go order it online...

I decided to go to another store just to check. Initially they told me I was crazy when I said the 1 year contract is $229. However they actually processed the upgrade to the payment stage and said it would show up if there is a discount. It took them about half an hour, and finally said total was $243. The dude seemed stunned and kept talking about how great of a discount that was for the 1 year contract.

I just broke down and ordered mine. What's the breaking point for me? Woke up this morning and the free overnight shipping promo was working and when i logged in to look at ordering the phone it showed as 219.99 as a vzw employee. Sold on sight. I can't wait to get this bad boy tomorrow. I hope my concerns about htcs battery life have no grounds. It was the only thing that kept me from falling in love with the incredible.

For those with processing notifications, did you pay for the phone at the time of upgrade or choose to bill your account?

In the past, when I selected bill to my account there has always been a delay but the item still shipped that day.

I paid with my credit card.

Made the order at 7am, got shipping notification at around 11am

Ordered mine at 8:15am this morning and just got my Tracking Number at
1:25 pm. So it takes a while. I paid when I ordered it.

I paid for it up front... And I just checked the order status but still no tracking number... Just says that my order has been processed and will be shipped based on availability and shipping method but in the order status box says its been shipped and that I can track it at Global Homepage but no tracking number yet

Ordered at 1 am MST. Paid w/ my credit card. Free overnight shipping to my house on Friday am.

Still getting the processing/check back tomorrow message. No tracking # as of yet.

Not too concerned though because I think I remember the same thing happening when I ordered the Incredible.

If I get nothing by this afternoon though, I might be singing a different tune.

I'm thinkin verizon put a hold on orders made within the first hour or so. I saw ALOT of people claiming to have paid 219 for a 1 year contract, and they may have put a hold on all the orders to get the pricing straightened out.

just a possibility. I paid 319 so hopefully if that is happening mine will get shipped out today

I never got an option for 1 yr pricing or a discounted price. The only way I could get the order to go through was to order on a 2-yr renewal at $250.

it did that to me when trying to add the 1 year through the thunderbolt page. I did it over and over for 30+ mins. I finally tried to change the main smart phone page to 1 years, clicked add to cart and it worked perfect.

trying to make the damn website give me a one year was the most focused I have been in a long time

ok guys on the order confirmation page at the top(outside the table) i says this," Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email."

but the order status on the table says shipped(just no tracking number yet)

anyone else have this?
