I guess I just expeted more I had an I credible and I mean its the same thing nothing new excepr camera and screen size sense is the same if this is your first smartphone it would be bad @ss but I've had and played with a lot of phones in my time.... but its just my opinion I will detail about battery life etc as I play with it morre

Of course its close to the Inc. It's the same OS. If you wanted something way different than an Inc go get an iPhone. It's the speed (4G) that makes it best.

not a fan of the quasimodo-esque extra battery

I like it, since better grip area and less need fo trying to palm the whole device. I have the mega chunga Seidio on my Inc. I would rather have a device that lasts all day with medium to high use, rather than worry about how thin the device is. Also protects the camera lense more and speaker sounds better on back :)

Luv my Quasimodo Inc :)

I had hoped to use my original droid charger as a work charger for this phone but it seems like when I plug the phone in the screen seems to change and make selections on its own LOL. I guess you need a special charger? If so what should I get? I know they sell them at Verizon but they aer always a rip off.
the phone should just use a standard micro usb charger(correct me if I'm wrong)

looks like my contacts were update and also brought in facebook people as well, which I did not want, can I get ride of those contacts that were brought in (easily) or do I have to delete each one separately?

I have turned off facebook sync.

When you are in "people", hit the menu key, click on 'view' then uncheck facebook. Hopefully that helps.

Did I win the lucky lottery?
My phone was $125 on verizonwireless.com.

The phone came up as $249.99, then I logged in and it changed to $199.99, which I presumed was my $50 new every two credit being applied.

When I got to the summary screen it showed $199, then an image of "NEW DISCOUNT" with the final price being $125.

I do have a corporate discount of 22% on my plan (primary line only), but that has never applied to hardware before.

Also my monthly payment dropped $10/month? (coming from a blakcberry, I believe the BES service is additional on BB).

I felt like I won the lottery when I saw that price, I was expecting to pay $249.

Anyone else get an unexpected discount from Verizon Wireless today on a Thunderbolt?

On a side note, this forum rocks. I've been trolling for the past few months, first time I felt obliged to post, I certainly wasn't about to jump on to the speculation bandwagon.

I posted this in another thread, but saw that people were discussing the price here. So I copy and pasted it. :)

Also, the price was weird. Each phone was $599x2= $1198+ Tax. Should have been around $1300 after taxes, but it was only $1218. $20 tax for 2 phones?? Umm, that's a tax break I will RUN with. lol

Added: We ended up getting them as Verizon instead of BB, they were $200 total cheaper.
